I was surprised by the mans response. He could make it come true? How?

"You can?" I asked

"Trust me." He said "come sit down, I'll tell you how."

The man walked over to his desk and sat down in his seat. I sat down at the chair in front of his desk. It was only then a noticed a maid standing next to the desk. I looked at her, she looked at me and nodded.

"Okay Emile, I know your wish can come true if you stay at the orphanage. I promise, it isn't bad like other ones. The staff here are quite nice, the children here are nice, and you will be better of here than in the garden shed I found you in." The man said "so what do you

I wasn't gonna lie, this place seemed fantastic... but there was something off with this place, especially that kid I saw earlier. Was that supposed to be a punishment or something? Did people live like that here?

"I- um.." I stuttered "I don't think so.."

"Well why don't you want to stay here?" He asked.

I looked at the maid, her smile wasn't kind anymore. She glared down at me with a devilish grin. Okay, I need to get out.

"I just don't think I really wanna, I think I should get going.." I said. The air in the room was so tense you could cut it with a knife.

I stood up from my chair and I started to walk away from the desk. The man got up from his seat too.

"Well unfortunately, you can't leave here. Our policy here is that once a child with no family steps foot onto the property, they are prohibited from leaving." The man said "and plus, this orphanage is safe. Much better than that old shed."

The man paused for a moment. "So in other words, you aren't leaving, Emile."

Suddenly I felt a sharp sting on my ankle. It was the damn anklet! My legs gave out on me as I crumbled to the floor. My muscles were so tired.

My eyesight became blurry, not from tears, but as if they hadn't developed enough to see clearly.

Then tears started leaking from my eyes. I was crying! I hadn't cried in a very long time, it took a lot to make me upset. What was wrong with me?

For the most part, I hadn't changed physically. I was still the old me, beside from a few changes. But mentally.. my mind was all over the place. I was confused, and sad, and angry, all at the same time.

"Wait- whaa? Was gon.." I said. My voice! What's going on with my voice?

"Oh Emile dear.. don't worry my dear." The man said. He was in front of me now. "It's a special medicine I make every child here take. It won't hurt you, but will correct your mind and a few physical attributes to the corresponding age you have chosen."

Age? What age? I don't remember choosing shit- wait... "Agy?" I babbled. God dammit I was talking like a baby.

"Remember in the car when I told you to pick a number? You chose zero, so that will be your new age." He said, and paused "also, it seems like I've never given you my name. Well it's papa, young Emile."

I was so angry at him. I didn't wanna be here, I wanted to leave but I knew I could. He ruined everything! So I screamed. I screamed and cried and kicked my weak legs on the ground.

Papa tried to calm me down but it didn't work. He even gave me Bruce the bear, but I didn't stop until...

Ssssssss

I was pissing myself, oh god. It leaked through my pants and underwear and onto the floor. A puddle of the yellow liquid  formed around me, and I hated it. When I was finished, I cried even more. I wasn't screaming anymore, I wasn't angry anymore, I was just sad now.

"Oh dear.." Papa said, he turned his attention away from me and towards the maid. "Can you clean this up while I take Emile to Charles? I need to get back to work soon." I assume the maid complied as she left the room for cleaning supplies.

Papa picked me up and left the room. While we were walking to, gods knows where, he was bouncing me up and down in his arms and shushing me to calm me down. "It's okay little one, once we get to Charlie, they will take very good care of you." He said in a calm voice.

Charlie? Who's Charlie? "Buhh buhh.. papaa?" I said. If anyone was gonna take care of me, it wasn't gonna be a stranger I haven't met yet.

"Oh dear, Em. I can't take care the of you, I am a very busy man. Charlie however is a caretaker, they will care for you."

This only made me weep more.
