Chapter 2

Marvelous woke up in the morning and left her room." morning." He says "good morning breakfast is already to have a seat." Doc says. " not hungry but I'll bring some to Ahim." Marvelous says picking up a plate and heading back to Ahim's room. " he is just getting stranger and stranger. Is it just me ?" Joe asked but the other two shook their heads agreeing with his statement. " yeah when is he not hungry." Luka says
(With marvelous and ahim )
"Ahim you up?" Marvelous asked in a whisper in case she wasn't. "I am now is something wrong?" She asked sitting up and fixing her posters like the lady she was. " no I just brought you something to eat. I thought you would be tired after last night so I just brought it to you." He says handing her the plate and trying to act normal. " you didn't have to I am fine but thank you that is very kind of you." She says he just nodded his head quickly and left to prevent himself from saying something stupid.
( later that night ).
Ahim walked down the stairs but stopped when she heard voices. She knew who's voices they were and was not much of an eavesdropper but after hearing the first sentence she needed to know what was going on.
"marvelous earlier when the ZhangChi threatened to take Ahim you were fighting extra hard to beat him and you said something about losing someone. What were you talking about?" Gai asked." why are you so noisy?" Marvelous asked with an annoyed voice." curiosity." Gai says very nonchalantly. " fine I've been feeling a little weird since the first time we took Ahim in. It's strange because the others never tried to warn me of small things like that. However, if I'm doing something and she said something bad can happen I either stop or get ignorant, awkward, rude, protective and that is a bad thing if you're a pirate especially the captain. I just feel so weird when it comes to her like she annoys me but at the same, I don't want her gone because we need her here." Marvelous says." marvelous you're in love. Wow, you're in love with Ahim. This is great." Gai says happily jumping around but is stopped when marvelous grabs his hood and holds him in one spot. " idiot I'm not in love. I can't be and I won't be. I'm going to bed don't tell anyone about this conversation got it?" Marvelous says to Gai. Gai just nodded his head and put an imaginary zipper over his mouth. Ahim quality walked back up the stairs so she would not get caught.
(The next day )
"good morning Ahim." Luka says." good morning. " Ahim says. " are you feeling better?" Doc asked. " what?" Ahim asked. " we bearly saw you yesterday and Marvelous would bring food to your room so I thought you were sick." Doc says. " oh yes I'm feeling much better I was just exhausted is all. Thanks, I think I'll go for a walk in the town for a while. "Ahim says." Oh okay, I can check on you later if you are still not feeling well. Hopefully Marvelous knew what he was doing cause I never expected him to be so. How do you say?" Doc says getting a word caught in his mouth. " kind?" Ahim asked. " no he is kind but he has different ways of showing it." Doc says Luka agreed. " genital?" Ahim asked. " no but yes I guess?" Doc says. " weird?" Luka asked. " no he is always been unpredictable. " I guess affectionate because he cares for you all day and personally spent his time trying to take care of you. " Doc says shim just shrugs then left the gallon and headed to the city. 5 minutes later Marvelous walked out. "Morning "he looked around one's missing is she still sleeping? He thought in his head but if anyone could read him it was his first mate. "of course not she's not you." Joe says and with that, the others caught on." she went for a walk on earth. That's why she is not here." Luka says. "Oh," Marvelous says
(On earth )
Ahim sat in a tree drawing in her secret sketchbook
( marvelous got worried so he went to look for her)
"Ahim were are you? " he shouted. "look up." She says. Marvelous tilted his head up to see her looking down at him with a small smile"." how did you get up there?" He asked with eyes squeezed because of the sun. " I climbed, " she says simply but it was just so in ahim like to just climb a tree.
" do you mind if I join you?" He asked she just nodded and moved over closer to the trunk of the tree so he could sit with her. Marvelous climbed the tree and sat with her.
(On the Galleon )
Don went to get some groceries for dinner. Luka was in the Crows Nest of the Galleon when Joe came up." you know if you want to sneak up on me you need to do better than that." She says putting her binoculars down. " I wanted you to know I was here."Joe says. " why?" Luka asked. I don't know I just feel I have not seen you all day and that's not normal to me." He says standing next to her. "Well, here I am are we done?" She asked us a strange tone. A tone like she wanted him to go but at the same time, she didn't. "No, I think I'll hang out with you for a while." He says. He didn't know but Luka was actually happy with what he wanted to do. "Alright well, what do you want to do then?" She asked." I don't know whatever you want." He says she just shrugs and smiled a bit.
(marvelous and ahim )
"Is this what you do when you are not on the ship just sit here and draw or just walk around?" Marvelous asked. " well yeah I guess it's just my way of thinking or clearing my head." Ahim says. " does it work?" Marvelous asked. " I think it does I mean I don't get very stressed thanks to it. Why do you want to try?" She asked. " I don't know maybe. But what do you feel stressed over?" he asked."oh its nothing. " she says trying to avoid the conversation. " really cause if you're stressed about it I would think it is." Marvelous says." I guess I just wonder why you gave me a chance. I mean I had never done anything you all had. I had never used a weapon. I just feel so useless sometimes." Ahim says. " I don't see why you do so much for the team especially me." He says. "I do? how?" She asked. "Well you keep me informed, take care of me, make me level-headed, interested, calm, give me some things to think about, open my eyes to new things and more. There are more but we can't be here all night telling how you make me happy, I mean make me a good person. " he said quickly. " but I still feel I could be doing more. I could be a better person. Or a better fighter, or a better teammate." She says Marvelous just patter her shoulder. " you're perfect to me. You do so much already I don't want you to stretch yourself too thin trying to please everyone's smallest desires. " he says. "Marvelous what do you think of me?" She asked not really thinking about the question. " in what way do you mean?" He asked. "I don't know in any way I guess. " she says. " well you are the most beautiful, amazing, smart, funny, caring, and sincere person I have ever met." He says she didn't expect that a turned a bright shade of pink. "Well, that was unexpected." She says moving hair behind her ear." too much?" He asked. " no no it's not that I just didn't know you thought so highly of me." She says. " well how can I not I truthfully really liked you Ahim I just have never been able to tell you." Marvelous says. Ahim didn't know how to react to his confession but she wanted him to know she felt the same. "Can I do something odd?" She asked. Marvelous just shrugs his shoulders. She quickly moved and kissed his cheek. Marvelous was surprised by her kiss but liked it. " so does this mean you feel the same." He says. Ahim just smiles and kisses his cheek again. "Marvelous I like you too I have since while after I met you. I just thought I was not the kind of girl you would like." She says. " to be honest I have never had the chance to like anyone back I was told Pirates should not fall in love or develop a feeling for someone because it can become a source of weakness that the enemy would try to use against us. If we developed these feelings we would do anything for the person including betrayal." Marvelous says. " well if we were to be together I think that would be less likely to happen mostly because we are on the same team." She says with a chuckle. " does that mean you have considered us being together ?" He asked with his arm making its way around her. " depending on are you asking me to consider it." She says. " yes ahim will you consider being with me?" He asked. " yes I will, I have, and I want to. I want to be with you." She says he smiled and began to move in to kiss her but she stopped him." Wait what do we tell the others?" She asked. " let's just wait till we tell anyone." He says. " why?" She asked. " because knowing we are together putting huge targets on our backs to our enemies that we are each others weaknesses." Marvelous says she just nodded and kiss his cheek. " I think we should take things one step at a time." She says. He understood and jumped out of the tree and landed on his feet. " come on jump." He says holding out his arms to catch her. She did as he said moved to slid off of the branch. She landed safely in his arms but before he let her go she hugged him tightly. " ahim what's wrong?" He asked. " nothing I just wanted to hug you because I can now." She says. He just let out a chuckle and smiled while he hugged her back and patted her head. " thank you." He says. " for what?" She asked. " giving me a chance. not many people would approve of a princess loving a pirate." He says she just looked at him and smiled. " everyone deserves a chance at everything." She says.
And with that she let him go." Come on let's go home. " he says she nodded and held his hand as they began walking home.
