Midco Oneshots

The King's request part 2

A/N: This Oneshot is a three-shot, it won't be any more than that.

3rd person P.O.V.

After a few hours of walking, they noticed that it started to get dark, Sinha have already woken up a long time ago. Cobra sighed and suggested to Midnight and the others that they should set up a camp for the night. At the moment they were at a clearing and it suits perfectly for a camp for so many people.
They planned and decided who does what and so they went on their own ways. Some were getting wood others were getting food. Cobra wanted to hunt something to eat for his little family and told Midnight to stay at the place with Sinha since it's way more save for them instead of walking around alone.

Midnight took Sinhas hand and stayed at the clearing, he made sure to keep Sinha busy until Cobra comes back. As the first section of wood came to them, Midnight wanted to show Sinha how to make a fire. But at that moment Natsu came around and used his fire magic to burn the wood on the fireplace. Sinha was surprised and excited because he saw for the second time a fire magician. But Midnight wasn't impressed even a little bit, he was more likely annoyed of Natsu. The raven didn't trust Natsu at all and he didn't want Sinha to be near him. Unfortunately for Midnight, it's quite easy to impress Sinha. The small boy jumped up and down and said "Again! Again! Please make fire again!" Natsu laughed at Sinhas reaction and did as he was told, he let his hands burning with flames and showed it to him.

Midnight stood up and watched Sinha and Natsu closely, he didn't want that anything happens to his child. Cobra came out of the woods and went to his little family while he held a dead rabbit in his hand by its ears. "Hey, look what I got~" He held the rabbit up to let his lover and son see it. Midnight looked at him and smiled. "Good catch, Cobra~" he rewarded the maroon-haired man with a kiss on the lips. Cobra grinned widely and asked, "You know what else was a good catch?" "No." Midnight answered. Cobra put his free hand on Midnight's waist, pulled him closer and whispered into his ear, "you are my best catch." Midnight only laughed at that and shoved him slightly away from him.
"Was it that bad?" Cobra asked again and Midnight only nodded yes while he laughed. Cobra looked fake sad and hurt at him. "But I tried my best, babe~"
"Then try harder~" Midnight laughed and shook his head, he couldn't believe that his lover would bring out such a bad flirt.

After that Cobra showed Sinha the rabbit since the little boy was now jumping up and down happily around Cobra.
Cobra sat down with Sinha and showed him how he could prepare a rabbit to eat. Cobra cooked for them while Midnight took care preparing their little sleeping place. Sinha will most likely be sleepy after he ate and then he will need a place to sleep.
The others from Fairy Tail came back one by one and took care of their own camp, they didn't give much attention to the little family, which was Midnight glad for.

They sat down around the fire and spoke quietly about the route they will take the next day. Midnight knew that it would become more dangerous for Sinha and him the nearer they got to the capital of Fiore.
The capital is known to be safe for most of the hybrids who live there but that makes it even more dangerous for those who travel to the capital to have a new and free life. It's not uncommon that hunters locate single hybrids or even families and kill them before they could reach the capital.

Even in the section of the forest which Midnight and the others were right now is known to be dangerous. That's why they planned that one of the parents need to be awake and watch over everything while the other parent and Sinha were asleep.
If they could trust Fairy Tail then they would let them take the night shift over but of course, they didn't trust them.

As Cobra was done with cooking he gave Midnight and Sinha their part of the meal and ate his own meal. They ate quietly while watching the stars in the sky. Sinha liked to watch the stars and to see some shooting star flying across the midnight sky. Midnight rubbed Sinhas back in a soothing way in an attempt to get the young boy even more sleepy. It was a habit he had since he was a baby. Sinha yawned as he was done eating and leaned onto Midnight sleepy. "Mommy. I wanna sleep.." He whined. Midnight smiled and looked at Cobra who nodded. Cobra takes the first night shift until midnight and then the raven will take over since he always woke up at that hour.
