~Chapter 33~

Makayla's POV

          Okay, today is the day where dad proposes to mom. I already told Aunt Aphmau, Aunt Lucinda and Uncle Vyald about how the proposal was planned out. Just so you know, my dad always tell me about their love story and so I should be thankful that I wasn't the type of child who gets through  boredom of listening to their love and romance.

Anyways, our plan's simple: Aunt Aphmau and Aunt Lucinda will secretly watch over Travis and Katelyn. We need atleast two people to see if anything goes wrong during the proposal. Think of it as them trying to spy on their ship. Uncle Vylad and I planned on finding future Leila again and possibly Leila from this timeline.

The four of us were getting ready to do our plan since it was gettting sun down.

"Eveeyone ready?" Aunt lucinda asked us.

We all nodded and we all headed out. I wore a black hoodie so that no one would know me even though I was still wearing orange contacts.

We were sepearated in pairs and each pair went through their seperate ways.

"So..how are we gonna track any of the Leilas?" Vylad asked while we were walking on the streets.

"Well all we need to do is track future Leila since she's the mastermind through all of this. And in order to track her down, I remember my dad teaching me a tracking spell."

"You think it'll work?"

"Yup. All I need to do is think of the person who to track and we'll be good." I smiled.

Vylad nodded.

I used the tracking spell to track future Leila and I was able to find her tracks.

"Got amything?" Vylad asked.

"Yup. Based on what I'm seeing right now, she's already on her way to the beach where dad proposes to mom."

"Well then lets go."

Vylad followed me as I followed future Leila's tracks.

          About a few hours later, we were able to reach where fiture Leila was, yet it was quite further from the place dad's gonna propose to mom. Both Uncle Vylad and I were confused.

Just then I spotted a woman who seemed to have the same hair color as Jeffory. That must be Jasmine..who is actually Leila from my timeline.

I tapped on Uncle Vyald's shoulder and I was able to get his attention.

"Stay quiet" I whispered to his ear. He nodded and I walked quietly yet in fast pace towards Leila. Vylad followed.

Leila then walked into a dark alleyway.(Okay what is witg me putting people into dark alleyways? XD)

Uncle Vylad and I followed her. As soon as we got close to her, she reached to a dead end. This was my chance.

"Stop right there!" I yelled.

She instantly turned around and I used a spell to be able to trap her. Basically what I did was I just made vines come out of the ground and walls and just tangled her wrists and ankles.

"Let go of me!" She yelled out.

I walked closer to her as Uncle Vylad stayed behind me. I then asked,

"What are you gonna do to my parents?"

"I don't what you're talking about....Makayla." She smirked.

"Don't even think about lying. Now answer her question...Leila." Uncle Vylad said.

"Okay okay fine. You got me." She transformed into her regular form.

"We're gonna ask you one last time...what are you gonna do to my parents?"

"Nothing much really." She simply answered.

"What do you mean nothing?" Vylad asked as he walked to my side.

"What I mean is, I'm not doing anything." She simply answered.

Uncle Vylad and I didn't knew what she was talking about. Until sometging popped up in my head.

"Wait...the reason why you're not doing anything..is beacause you're making your younger self do it." I said.

Uncle Vylad gasped to realization, "And you were just distracting us cause you knew that we would track you down beacause we thought that you were the one who was gonna do something bad to her parents."

She smirked and nodded.

My eyes widened in fear, knowing that we got tricked.

"WHERE IS YOUR YOUNGER YOU??!!" I yelled.

"Where do you think would she be?" She smirked.

"Wait a minute..wasn't she holding a gun the last time we saw her?" Uncle Vylad questioned me.

My eyes grew wide once I remembered the incident that happened a few days ago.

She must've gave her younger self the gun so she can try to shoot one of my parents.

"OH MY IRENE!!!" I yelled as I grabbed Uncle Vylad's arm and ran off as fast as I could.

I didn't care if I had to leave Leila stuck there. I needed to stop this.

"Makayla, what's wrong?" He asked me while I was still dragging him.

"We need to find her from this timeline!!"

"Who? Leila? Why?"

"Because she's planning to shoot one of my parents!!"

"Wait really??!!!"

We kept running and running. As soon as we were close enough to the beach where mom and dad are, a gunshot was heard there.

"NO!!!!"

Tears instantly started forming in my eyes. I didn't know who was shot until I heard a familiar voice yelled out.

"TRAVIS!!"

"D-Dad?"

"Oh no..." I heard Uncle Vylad's voice muttered.

I let go of him and tried to run closer to the beach but still stayed hidden as possible.(I was hiding in a bush)

I see Aunt Aphmau and Aunt Lucinda running towards them yet I couldn't find where Leila(from this timeline) could be.

I started to cry while watching my dad being shot as mom and my aunts tried to call the ambulance and holding onto his body.

I then heard two familiar voices coming from the distant. I looked behind me and saw Uncle Vylad strangling Leila on the wrists so she wouldn't get out of his grip.

I ran towards the two.

"Why in the world did you kill him??!! I thought you were obsessed with him!!" I yelled at her.

"I am, and keeping Katelyn alive is best we could so that she wpuld end up with Jeffory and have no choice but to be with me."

"Well we're gonna make sure you're never gonna go near him ever again." Uncle Vylad said.

"Don't bring her to the police. Who knows what she's gonna say to them about this time-travelling thing? We need to bring her at our house. I'll make sure I put a spell on her so that future Leila won't do any random spells on her that'll make her disappear again." I said to him.

He nodded and dragged her with him.

I took one glance at the beach where my parents and aunts were. I then followed vylad as I make sure no one sees me.
