The Grounds

4 1 2

I don't care what was yesterday,
Nor what comes tomorrow.

There is a path that I'll follow
Only to end this endless sorrow.

Blinded by one eye
And the other one looking at the other.
There is nothing except the silent chants I mutter.

The gates will give way so the angel descents.
But will it be grounds or hell where it'll fly down.

The hell we've feared all our lives long,
Maybe it was earth all along.

So is hell we know another layer of infernum after the great demise of one?

Menace and filth is what renditioned our realm the way it is.

Loss of hope and desperation,
Lack of any meaningful aspiration.

Some cling, some seek sweet salvation.
Some try to give a meaning to what they witness,
some try to find a reason why they are here in hopes of finding a meaning.
Some look for revelation, some for release.

Is it all nothing but a lie?
A waste of tears under the rain, where at the end everything is just water.

I am nothing but a minor inconvenience compared to the vast space, so where is my place?

We struggle to find heaven and avoid hell.

So oblivious of our surroundings while fighting for our own good,
we forget that this is the hell we have made,
where some made these scorching grounds their heaven to rule.

This is the punishment of ours,
Among the false prophets, hornless beasts and haloless saints.
