Chapter nine: The Last Resort

( Kaylee p.o.v. )

The new Emerald Coast resort sounds like the perfect place to getaway from it all! You can hang out in the beach, or float in the crystal, clear ocean all day long, then dine as you watch the spectacular sunset. It sounds absolutely romantic! I wish we were going to the opening party! Amy said. We'll have fun at the Thorndyke's villa. Are you ready to go, Cheese? Cream asked making Cheese cry in excitement. I'm ready too, guys! My flight plan will take us to the Emerald Coast. Tails said. Be careful, you guys and try not to let anybody see you. I said. They won't have a problem for as long as they stay on the grounds of the villa. grandpa said. I wish I could hang out with them instead of going to the resort opening Chris you sure are lucky. I said Yeah I guess I wish you could go too. Chris said. I know, but your mother can't make it so she needs you to go in her place. You won't have to stay long, and after, you can join the others at the villa. grandpa said. That's great. maybe you can give a swimming lesson to Sonic. Chris said. You guys go on without me. I'm gonna stay right here. Sonic said. Huh? Chris said. Sonic! You mean you're not coming with us? Amy asked clearly shocked that he's not coming with them. That's right! Have fun, I've gotta run! Sonic said then he jumped down from the roof gave me a quick kiss on the cheek then ran off. That's weird, I wonder why Sonic doesn't want to go to the Emerald Coast with us. Chris said. It must be because Sonic hates water. He won't go near the ocean because he can't swim. Amy and I said together. I forgot that. Chris said. But Sonic doesn't have to swim, he could go running on the beach. Tails said.It's not gonna be much fun without you or Sonic, Kaylee. Amy said as she gave me a hug. I know but I'll join you guys as soon as I can in the mean time take care of Chris,Cream and Cheese for me. I said I will see ya soon. Amy said. Hmm... Chris said as it seem that he's thinking of some thing as he gets in the plane just then there was a car horn go off. Miss. Kaylee, we have to leave now or you'll be late for the ceremony. Ella called out to me. Have a great time, Kaylee. Grandpa and Chris said as I got in the car I nod my head. We'll meet up later. I said Okay, don't be long. Amy said. See you there. Tails said as Cheese cries in excitement. And don't be nervous, Kaylee. That opening party will be just fine. Amy said. Yeah. I said as I give a chuckle as we take off .

( Tails p.o.v. )

The  X-Tornado prepares for take off as Chuck tilts all of the palm trees in the X-Tornado's path away from the plane. Next stop, Emerald Coast. Hang on! I said as the X-Tornado speeds along the runaway. Here we go! I said.

( Kaylee p.o.v. )

Huh? I asked as I see the X-Tornado flies above.Miss Kaylee, remember that you are representing the Thorndyke family on this trip. Mr. Tanaka reminds me. I'll do my best, Mr. Tanaka. I said.

( Sonic's small p.o.v. )

Who needs the ocean! I said as I laid down in a field while sniffing some flowers. 🌺

( Tails p.o.v. )

This place is unbelievable! Amy said as she come back up from being under water. Sure is, Amy! I'm really glad we came. I said.  And we'll have more fun when Kaylee gets here. Cream said as Chris give a sigh. Yeah I just wish she was here now. Chris said.

( Kaylee p.o.v. )

Try to look interested. Mr. Tanaka told me but I just wave him off as I shake another persons hand in pure boredom.

( Amy p.o.v. )

Lovely... I'd just wish Sonic and Kaylee were here to enjoy this with me... I said as I started to daydreams about how Kaylee would have a romantic moment with Sonic and thanking me for giving them the moment. It'd be so romantic! THEY WOULD BE SO HAPPY! I yelled happily then  a coconut drops onto my head I then get mad with the coconut and throws it across the ocean. You've just ruined my fantasy! Just thinking about how I can help my best friend/ sister and Sonic can make me crazy! I mean some day I'll hear wedding bells  and it'll be all thanks to me. I said then I give a Sigh then I hear two people a man and woman giggling nearby.  You're so wonderful, Chad.  the woman said to her boyfriend then Chad and the woman start to giggle.  Sonic! WHERE ARE YOU?! I yelled on top of my lungs then I continued to listen to them talk to each other even though I shouldn't  but I wanted to know what they are talking about so maybe I can get some ideas so I can help Sonic and Kaylee even though their already together they still need to speed things up a bit I mean it's only a matter of time before we have all seven chaos emerald and we have to go home.   Chad, I've made something wonderful for you. the woman said then she handed him a seashell bracelet to him.  For me? Chad asked a bit shocked that she made it for and wants him to have it 'well duh she said it was for you who else would it be for.' I thought.Yes. It's nothing really, but I want you to have it. It's a lucky charm for when you go into the water. It's just like mine. the woman said. Thank you. I'll always wear it and think about you. Chad said sweetly to her.  Oh Chad... the woman said happily.Hmm, I wonder what Sonic and Kaylee would say. I said to myself as I look at one of the seashells bracelet.  Who's are those are  for, Amy? Cream asked.  Eh? Oh, nobody's . I said as I tried to hide them behind my back.  You didn't make them for Sonic and Kaylee did you? Cream asked. No, of course not. I said just then an explosion occurs, leaving  me, Tails, Chris ,Cream and Cheese shocked as the public in the hotel flee away to safety.
