The Next Night:
Lilly's POV

The three of us walked out of the movie theater and the movie was horrible. But I wasn't going to tell Bella that.

"I don't know why you want to sit through all those zombies eating people and no hot guys kissing anybody." Jessica frowned. "It's gross. Like, and why are there so many zombie movies anyway? 'Cause if it's supposed to draw a parallel about leprosy, my cousin had leprosy. It's not funny, you know? And like, is it like a metaphor for consumerism? Because don't be so pleased with your own self-referential cleverness, you know? And, like, some girls like to shop. Not all girls apparently, although I was surprised you even came at all."

I nodded in agreement with the last part.

"Like your depression thing, I get it. And I mean, Lilly went through the same thing and is trying to be a good friend, trying to help you, and I'm totally worried for you. But after a while it's like your still bumming?" Jessica stated. "I mean, I'm going through stuff too. Lilly has been helping me. This was supposed to be our girls night to shop to take my mind off Mike deciding he just wants to be friends."

Bella however ignored Jessica as she looked over down the street at some guys that were trying to get out attention by a bar. Jessica noticed this and stood in front of Bella who flinched for a second like she saw something.

"Bella, come on."I told her. Knowing that she was thinking of the time we got attacked.

"Come here for a sec!" A guy yelled to us.

"I think I know those guys." Bella told us.

Jess and I looked down as another guy yelled to us. "We got beer! We got bikes!"

"Well, they seem great." Jess said sarcastically. "Can we go now?"

"I'm just going to see something." Bella said walking toward he guys. What the hell is she thinking?!

"What the hell is she doing?!" Jessica freaked.

"Being fucking stupid!" I growled.

I wanted to use my magic but it's still healing for a few more days, plus I couldn't in public with so many people around.

Next thing we knew Bella hopped onto one of the dude's motorcycles!

"What the fucking hell?!" I groaned pulling at my hair, turning around in annoyance.

"What should we do?" Jessica asked.

"Hopefully she'll have common sense to come back. If she isn't in 10 minutes I'm calling, Charlie!" I sighed.

And just like clock work, Bella hopped off the guy's motorcycle 9 minutes later and walked back to us, looking shocked.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" I growled.

"I thought that I saw something." Bella shrugged.

"You're insane, actually. Or suicidal." Jessica stated. "That homeboy could've been a psycho. We were about to end up in an FBI interview room like some lame TV show!"

"God, that was such a rush." Bella sighed making me pissed.

"Awesome! So your an adrenaline junkie now?! That's cool! You can go bungee jumping for all I fucking care! You don't get on the back of some random losers motorcycle!!! You fucking crazy?!!!"

I ended up walking up to my car.

"Jess, I'll need you to drive her home. If she says one more thing so fucking stupid, I'm gonna strangle her." I frowned. Jess nodded and I jumped in my car, skidding out of there, pissed. Just wanting to head home.

When I walked through and slammed the door Jack and Mom looked at me.

"What's got you so upset?" Mom asked.

"Bella trying to kill herself by getting on the back of some random bikers motorcycle!" I frowned, plopping down on the couch.

"I gave you my advice." Jack shrugged. "Let her suffer on her own."

"Jackson Matthew Whitlock Hale! Not in the mood." I frowned which he nodded and said sorry.

"He's right you know." Mom told me. "She's gotten you in nothing but trouble since you met her. Don't get me wrong, I like her and Charlie, but how many times has she put you in dangers way so far from you trying to protect her?"

I sighed and nodded and thought about them all. Almost getting killed by James, Victoria claiming revenge on the Cullen's and I since we killed James, and she's the reason my son was left fatherless, again!

I sighed. "I guess you guys are right."

And that's when my phone started ringing. Speak of the devil.

"What, Bella?" I answered.

"You know those bikes the neighbor put out?" Bella asked.

"You mean Bob? Yes, what about them?" I asked.

"I just put them in my truck. I was wondering if you want to come with me to Jacob's tomorrow to try and fix them up?" Bella asked.

"After tonight's little stunt? No thanks, I'd rather stay in Charlie's good side." I denied.

"Whatever, I knew I shouldn't have called you. I don't need you. Cunt." Bella said and hung up. I know it shouldn't have bugged me, but calling me a C U Next Tuesday pushed me over the line. No doubt Jack heard it as he glared at the phone I accidentally crushed.

"I'll order a new one." Mom sighed then her eyes went wide as I felt my eyes glow. "Oh no young lady! You quickly get outside right now! No phasing in the house!"

Mom quickly rushed me outside, just as I phased on the porch and I ran into the woods.

I knew Jack told her he'd make sure I was okay because he started running with me. I noticed that we were coming onto the Rez so I decided to do a perimeter run with Jack. I lost count of how many times we ran across the Rez perimeter once I let off steam.

'Lilly?' I heard Sam's voice in my head.

'Yeah?' I asked.

'Was that you and Jack running around the perimeter 30 times?' Sam asked.

'Yeah, Bella pissed me off. I needed to blow off steam.' I explained.

'Well, considering you ran everywhere you needed to for patrols, you can start first thing tomorrow before school every day. Jack too if he wants to join you.' Sam said.

'Okay, thanks Sam. We're headed home.' I told him then ran back towards the house. When we arrive Jack jumped onto my balcony and grabbed clothes before setting them down in front of me. I grabbed the clothes and walked behind a bush before phasing back and changed into my pajama's.

Once I got myself upstairs in my room, I didn't realize how exhausted I was until I hit the pillow and fell asleep. Doing patrols does help when I need to think, but it doesn't help keep the nightmares away.
