Chapter 11: Jacob Phases

The Next Day @ School:
Lunch:

"Hey, hey my peeps." I smiled setting my tray down.

"Hey! Awesome party Saturday!" Mike complimented.

"Thanks, courtesy of my parents." I smiled.

"So, what happened with you and Mr. Hottie?" Jessica smirked. "I saw you guys going into the house."

"It was nothing." I waved off.

"Tell that to my eyes." Jack said setting his tray down next to mine as he sat. "I can never unsee that."

"Woah, you walked in on them?" Eric laughed.

"Hell, no! Thank God! At least they were partially clothed!" Jack shuddered. "I don't want to ever see that again!"

"I told you it's not what it looked like!" I huffed. "I got a little too carried away with the drinks, Paul helped me upstairs to my room, I didn't have a shirt so he lent me his. That's all."

"So then why did your Dad kick him out?" Eric laughed showing us a video of my Dad chasing Paul out with a baseball bat around the house as Paul had his pants and shirt held in his hands as Dad yelled 'That's my little girl you little bastard!'

"Oh my God!" I groaned, putting my head down in embarrassment. "Well, he might of heard Paul and I talking when I told Paul to "take you shirt and get out before my Dad chases you out because you saw me in my underwear" and then I guess that video happened."

"I'm sorry I couldn't come to your birthday, it sounded like fun." Angela pouted. "I was stuck with my family camping when I saw a big bear like animal. Like, literally I saw something in the woods."

This made Jack and I look at each other then back to Angela.

"Totally. Baby, I believe you." Eric said holding her hand.

"No he doesn't." I stated, being able to hear Eric's heartbeat from here as it 'ticked' when he lied.

"Yeah, he's just trying to get lucky." Jessica added.

"No, okay. It was jet black and huge." Angela described. Damn it, Sam! "On all fours, it was still taller than a person. A bear, maybe."

"Or an Alien. Your lucky you didn't get probed." Mike said making me throw a grape at his head making us laugh. That all quieted down though when Bella showed up and sat down between Jack and Mike.

Jack instantly gave her a glare and got up, storming out of the cafeteria. Everyone knows Jack didn't like Bella, so it wasn't a surprise.

"What did I do?" Bella asked me then looked to everyone else. I just scoffed shaking my head, as did everyone else. "Anyways, you know, you're not the only one. My dad's been getting reports at the station. Like, five hikers have been killed by some bear. But they can't find the bear."

"Hmm." Angela hummed looking at Eric who started to nervously laugh.

"Last time you clowns doubt my girlfriend." Eric frowned, acting like he didn't not believe her.

Mike started talking to Bella, more flirting than talking, as Eric grabbed Angela's hand and started to apologize. I started talking to Jess about graduation as we just found out she has 3 months to prepare for her valedictorian speech.

"Do you guys want to go see Face Punch?" Bella asked turning to all of us.

"Face Punch, yeah!" Eric nodded like he knew what they were talking about. "Mike, hey, we were supposed to watch that. Remember, the trailer's like.... boshhh boshhh.... punch faces."
