Half and Half

Part 6 - The Fuhrer

Everyone looked at him as if he were crazy. He elaborated and they established a plan of action.

"This might actually work," said Falman. The preparation were going smoothly until next Tuesday. Fuhrer Bradley called him into his office and told Minhyun that he would be going on the inspection of the East with him the next day. Minhyun went back to the unit and told them what had happened. "That's fine, you'll just replace Havoc and escape with me," said the Colonel. Minhyun nodded and the preparations continued. The next day came quickly, Minhyun was at the train station, waiting for the Fuhrer to arrive with his wife and kid. He saluted him when he showed up, escorted by 6 guards. They got on the train and started moving. The Fuhrer was in a compartment with his wife and kids, and two guards were stationed outside it. The other four were in the front of the train. Minhyun made small talk with the guards until it was time. They were about two miles from the bridge where they would blow the train up. Minhyun went to the bathroom and changed into a full-black suit, then climbed onto the train's roof and walked to the front of the train. He jumped into the engine area and knocked out the four guards there, then he dragged them into an empty compartment. He told the crew to slow the train down as there was a blockade in front of the bridge, rebels were attacking. They saw the blockade and began to stop. Minhyun then went and knocked out the two guards outside the Fuhrer's compartment. He dragged them into the empty compartment, changed into his uniform, and put a microphone in the closet outside the Fuhrer's compartment. Then he stationed himself outside it. Meanwhile, Havoc, Breda, and Fuery were readying the dynamite and dummies on the opposite side of the bridge. Hughes and Falman would've broadcasted the fake threat at the command center and Colonel Mustang and Hawkeye would be bringing forces towards the side of the bridge where there weren't any dummies or dynamite. Fuhrer Bradley felt the train stopping and told his wife and kid that he would ask the front crew what was going on. He closed the door and he stepped out and asked Minhyun, "Where are the guards?"

"They went to ask why the train was stopping?" Minhyun replied, sweating. The Fuhrer walked to the other side of the train cart, but stopped short. "Why are you so tense?" he asked.

"I- I just get nervous around you, especially after you killed Mi Joo." He unsheathed his sword and had it against Minhyun's neck within seconds.

"I told you not to mention that incident ever again," he replied steelily.

"We're alone-"

"No! Never, not even when we're alone." Minhyun scoffed and kneed him. He crouched down and went behind the Fuhrer, elbowing him in the back. "So you're betraying your nation?" asked the Fuhrer.

"No, but I'm done playing your stupid games," Minhyun replied. Minhyun unsheathed his sword and they spared for a little while. "You're just like your mother, she could never see that I was doing everything for Xing!" said Fuhrer Bradley. Minhyun yelled and lunged at him, filled with anger and hatred. "My mother is 10 times what you'll ever be!" screamed Minhyun. The Fuhrer grabbed his arm and shoved him into the wall, sending his sword straight through Minhyun's abdomen. Minhyun screamed and his vision went blurry. "Spy Rule #17: Never let your emotions take over," said the Fuhrer.

"He's right...Rule 17, I've got to get my head straight," thought Minhyun. He grabbed the sword, bloodying his hands and pulled it out of himself with renewed strength. He struck at the Fuhrer, driving him back, but the Fuhrer was powerful and dodged all but one of his blows. Minhyun's sword slashed his leg and blood spurted out. The train had fully stopped over the bridge now, He struck again and blood spurted out of his stomach. The Fuhrer struck back, driving Minhyun away and was about to deal a severe blow when Colonel Mustang jumped in through the window. He shot Fuhrer Bradley in the leg and Minhyun kicked him to the floor, knocking him out. They grabbed him and stuffed him into the closet, grabbing the recorder and two dummies. Minhyun locked the closet as the Colonel laid the dummies on the ground. Minhyun tied a cloth around his abdomen to stop the bleeding. The Colonel said, "We've got to hurry, let's get the Fuhrer's wife and kid and get out of here."
