Long ago their was a young happy couple who lived in a small farm house in the middle of nowhere. They were happy until the wife became pregnant to a girl. The husband always had dreams of having a son who he could work with and teach the arts of fencing to.
Though he knew that it was not his wife's fault he could not help feeling betrayed. So he packed up all of his belongings and ran off on his horse, leaving his wife to stay and mourn.
Not to much later the child was born. With hair as red as a fire and eyes as green as a clover. She was to be named Able. She was beautiful, but the wife could not be happy. Able looked to much like her father and it drove her mad.
She put on her cloak and headed off into the woods, leaving the baby behind. As she walked she could hear rustling in the bushes but put it aside as a rabbit. Further on the trail the rushing grew louder until she heard a bark, wolves. She ran as fast as she could but she could not outrun the beast. Eventually it caught up to her and cornered her in between a twisted tree. Thinking as fast as she could, she climbed up the large tree. The wolf jumped and snarled but it knew that it could not climb the great tree, so he walked off in search for a new hunt.
Frozen in shock and fear, she stayed in the tree for a long while. After she regained her confidence she climbed down, but she heard a sound. Not one of a wolf or a bird, but the cry of a baby. So she ran back to the house quickly so that she would not encounter the wolf again. When she reached the house she heard Able crying in her bed where she had left her. She said to her softly, "I will never leave you again", and stayed to nurse her child.
