PROLOGUE
Jadis never intended to have a child, it just happened. Crystal was a disapointment, she refused to take innocent lives, and she treated everyone kindly. The truth was, she wasn't even Jadis's child. She was Alsan's just she didn't know it, and hopefully never would. She could turn into a lioness, she just hadn't done the math yet. Now she had the young king in her hands and she was at an encampment when suddenly there was a commotion outside. Her general came running in and started shouting.
"Your majesty! The princess is gone and the king has excaped!" he exclaimed. Jadis let out a growl and then a scream. She had just lost her heir to the greater good. Now she would have to kill both Crystal and Edmond.
