DAUGHTER OF ICE
CHAPTER FOUR
THE LOST NARNIANS

Crystal dragged Peter and Edmund while Lucy and Susan rode atop Aslan.  Suddenly Crystal let go of Peter and Edmund's hands and just stopped short. Peter and Edmund turned around and gave her quizical looks. "What is it?" they asked.

"The white witch must think we are dead until the opportune moment," Aslan explained.

"Go, stay alive," Crystal gave Peter a quick kiss.

"I don't want to leave you though," Peter whined.

"Well you have to, so go!" Crystal gave him and Edmund a quick shove and went to get Lucy off Aslan. She lifted Lucy off Aslan and helped Susan. "Go, lead your army," They all gave her a quick nod and started to run to the camp. "They'll be okay, right?" Crystal asked her father.

"We can hope, child," Aslan said as she gave him a hug.

"I'm gonna kill them if they die," she sighed. Aslan nodded, then realized what she said and chuckled a bit. "I know I shouldn't worry, but I just can't help it," Crystal sighed, she had complete confidence in Peter, Edmund, Susan, and Lucy, but she couldn't help but worry. In the little time she had known them she had come to love each of them as if she were their older sister. Then there was Peter, she already loved him, and they had never even been alone in the same room together.

"I can see you love him, child," Aslan rubbed his cheek against hers. She nodded.

"We can start walking to the battlefield," Crystal suggested. Aslan nodded his head and they slowly strolled to the battlefield. "Wait!" Crystal exclaimed. She turned around and started running in the opposite direction. "Come on, father!" she called over her shoulder. Aslan started to run beside her. Then he caught on, he knew exactly where Crystal was headed. He smiled, if that is possible for a lion.

"I'm proud of you, child," he told her.

"Thank you, father, but seriously, we need to hurry," she had that look of determination in her eyes that reminded Aslan so much of her mother. They kept running, and eventually they reached the Ice Palace. In front were all the Narnians that had lost themselves to the White Witch. Crystal let a tear fall, and quite by chance, it fell on top of a badger. The badger's fur slowly restored itself from the spot the tear had fallen, and this gave Crystal an idea. She ran through the rows, touching all the statues with her hands and tail, and all of them slowly were restored. A specific faun caught her eye, and a name flashed through her head.

     "Mr. Tumnus!" she called.

"Yes?" he whimpered out, cowering in fear. He had probably never seen a girl that was half lion half human before.

"I believe you know Queen Lucy," she smiled at him. "And she shall be very anxious to see you," she held out her hand for the faun to take. He hesitantly took it and she led him, along with the other Narnians, to the battle field. Aslan let out a mighty roar and she knew he was restoring all who had not been frozen at the Ice Palace.

                        The Lost Narnians were returning.
