we all have secrets that
nobody knows
and although we hide it
it really shows
when you try to hide you scars
or you love the stars instead of you,
or when you skip a meal or two,
or when you cry for an hour or a few,
or when your sleeves are always covering you.
it shows through your body.
someone notices when you roll up your sleeve a little
to wash your hands and it's covered it scabs,
and when your cheeks and waist start to hollow out
and you can't run as fast as you used to,
and when the mascara trails are gone but
your eyes are still red,
or when you're sweating like crazy but
still refuse to take off that sweater even though it's april.
people notice. you just have to find the ones that care.
