Legends, stories and tales scattered through time, mankind in particular has grown quite fond of recounting the grandeur exploits of heroes and villains throughout their own history, forgetting so easily that we are remnants, by-products, of a forgotten past.
Man, born initially from dust grew to be strong, wise and resourceful. But he was born into an unforgiving world with inevitable darkness creeping in. Creatures of shadow and destruction arose from the darkness coming to be known as the creatures of Grimm who set their sights on man and all of his creations.
These forces clashed, and it seemed the darkness was intent on returning man's brief existence to the void. However, even the smallest spark of hope is enough to ignite change and in time, man's passion, resourcefulness and ingenuity led them to the tools that would help even the odds. This power encased in crystals was appropriately named 'Dust'.
Now with the powers of nature's wrath harnessed through these crystals in hand man lit the way through the darkness and in the absence of the shadow came strength, civilisation and most importantly the flourishment of life.
But even the most brilliant lights flicker and die with time, and when they are gone darkness will return. Even now in darker days, figures arose determined to dethrone man's rule and return the world to the life of shadow by targeting its protectors.
