As the week passed, the situation became worse... They had stopped talking... It didn't much matter to Mahir as he was busy in his work, but it affected Bela a lot... She used to blame herself for all the happenings, but little did she know that it was all Mahir's fault...

He can't balance between his priorities and work... He used to vent his anger and frustration on Bela...

Only this week passed in silence because both used to ignore each other; Bela in guilt and Mahir in work...

This week something unexpected happened which turned the tables upside down...

One fine morning,

Everyone means Bela, Mahir and Sumi were having their breakfast... Everything in silence...

Suddenly, Bela hissed lightly in pain. No one listened... Bela too, shrugged it off...

After a while,
Bela again winced in pain holding her belly but this time more loudly...

This caught Sumi's attention towards Bela and she looked concerned towards her...

Sumi: Bela, you okay?

Bela: No Mom... It.... it's...pain...paining.... Ahhhh!!!

Mahir glanced at her once and forwarded a glass of water without expressions...

Mahir: It might be labour pain... I am calling the doctor.

Sumi: Are you mad, Mahir? It's only 7 months.

Mahir: So what? It can be premature... I am calling doctor... If it is not labour pain, then too we can have the baby by scissoring.

Mahir said everything without any urgency in his tone...

Bela, hearing about premature baby, shrieked loudly unable to handle the pain...

Bela: Ahhhh!! Mom!!!

She started breathing heavily...

Sumi: Bela, dear, it may be false contractions. It happens. Just walk a little, it will be ok.

Sumi held Bela by one side and expected Mahir to help her by other side...

But,

Mahir: I have called the doctor. I am going to office. You forgot to keep my watch on the bed... From tommorow, keep it ready...

He was about to go when he heard Bela's loud cry. He stopped at the moment and was about to lift Bela to their room but, she moved aside...

Bela: Mom... I..I ne..need...to...wa..walk...I ..wi...will... walk....by...my...myse...myself...

Bela started going through the stairs while hissing with pain... Sumi was by her side but she can't see her in pain...

By very much and more effort, Sumi took Bela to Behir's room...

Bela, by now, was crying vigorously with pain...
