Chapter 5

Layla woke up really early in the morning and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

Yay, I'm going to Los Pecados today!

Wait, I need to fill up my water bottle!

Then after she ate breakfast, she filled up her water bottle with cold water from the dispenser. Then she went upstairs to take a shower.

Feels good. Really good!

After that, she went in the closet to put on her clothes. Then she grabbed the handle of her suitcase and pulled it.

It's so hard to bring it downstairs!

Then she went out. A large monster truck was right in front of her house!

"Come in!" Diggie said.

Then Layla came in the monster truck. Then they drove away from Eruditio.

"How many miles sir?" Layla asked the driver.

"100 miles." The driver said.

"Look Layla! Eudora got a new haircut!" Lolita said.

"Oh, really! Wow, nice haircut Eudora!" Layla exclaimed.

"Thanks, but I didn't cut it by myself though." Eudora explained, "I asked Gusion to cut my hair, so he did! When Gord saw my new hair, he screamed for five minutes until I calmed him down." Eudora said, then all of them laughed.

"I'm so excited to see what the wild west will be like!" Layla exclaimed.

"I know right!" Eudora said, "I can't wait to see it too!"

"Ahhhhh!" The driver screamed.

"Why?" Diggie asked.

"We ran out of gas, again!" The driver shouted.

"Yikes! We're in the middle of the desert!" Diggie exclaimed.

"Wait, who's that?" Layla asked.

A man was just standing there. He wore a hat, was dressed up in a white, brown, and black cowboy suit, had a sheriff badge, and he had a big gun.

"Oh there you are Clint!" The driver shouted.

"Wait, that's Clint?" Layla asked.

"Yes." The driver said.

"He looks old!" Diggie said.

"Face it." The driver said, "He might look old, but he's actually 23 years old."

"Oh." Diggie said.

"Alright, so where's the man from Eruditio, huh?" Clint asked.

"She's a girl, a sixteen year old girl. Her name is Layla." The driver said.

Layla jumped off the monster truck, then Clint blushed.

"What?!?!?" Diggie shouted in shock. Then Eudora and Lolita laughed.

"Why are you so shocked Diggie?" Layla asked the smart owl.

"He's-"

"Blushing!" Lolita and Eudora finished.

"Oh, okay." Layla said.

"No worries, I'll give you a ride on one of my horses, Layla!" Clint said.

"What about us Clint?" The driver loudly asked.

"I'll give you some fuel guys!" Clint said, then he gave them a tank of fuel, then the driver and the Eruditians left.

"Let's go Layla! Clint said.

"Okay!" Layla said.

Then they rode all the way to the wild west.
