Chapter 5: The Mystery of Crossword Code

Part 2

Last time in famous five, they  found out the Crossword Manager was up to something. In order to catch they followed him within a stone's throw.

The man reached a slovenly building which has never been visited in many years. The building was so fragile that it would collapse by a single push. The man went inside so they followed him. When they went inside they saw him talking with two of his partners.

The man asked," What is tomorrow's clues?"

The lady replied," It is six and eight." Another man asked what six and eight is.

Then she replied," Just wait and watch. He is an expert in crossword and he would solve and understand it easily. Now only two clues are remaining."

She added,"You have to order plane tickets of Sunday. We will rescue our boss and fly off to any other country."

The crossword manager nodded and left from there. The rest of the partners join him on his way. Five and Julian's uncle came out from their hideout and went in the room they were talking.

They search for clues, they founded a gun with full bullets, a map of the city and some useless papers . Then they headed back to the newspaper editor office. On there way they were discussing about the clues.

Julian said," what is six and eight?" Now its nonsensical.

Dick said," I still can't believe it is true."

George said,"After all this it is so obvious that crossword mystery is true."

Julian said," So what could be six and eight. Some kind password or some date."

Editor said,"It can't be date cause six and eight will come in next month. They were saying that only two are remaining."

They reached the office. They went inside the cabin of crossword department. They were going through drawers and his cupboard. The editor was searching for tomorrow's crossword.

Timmy sniffed around the corner and stopped in front of a dustbin and barked.  All of them gathered around it and saw some bits of paper were thrown. Julian reached for it.

They joined the picture. It was a woman and another man with tattoo on his hand.

Julian said,"I think I have seen that tattoo somewhere."

Dick replied," Where have you seen that?"

Julian said," I don't remember."

The Editor opened the files kept on the table. It had the past crossword codes but not tomorrow's.

Anne said," Tomorrow's crossword is six and eight. Is there anything else that can tell us about the plans and I think that they are going to escape when their plan is accomplished."

George said," They were going by flight".

Editor replied," But we don't even know what they are up to. Maybe he would bring his rest of the crossword."

They all went back to Kirrin Cottage. They had done enough work so they were tried and all slept there.

The next day Anne woke up and ran to find the newspaper. She solved the puzzle and they were true it was six and eight. All the rest of team got up and Anne told them about the clues.

Anne said," They are using crossword for  sending message. I am scared, let us call the cops for help."

Dick replied," Don't be a kid. We don't even know what they are doing. How can  someone believe us."
