Chapter 2 (The Party)

Two days ago

I sit on the couch next to Agapi and Esther, all three of us exhausted after finishing the latter's move, I turn to look at Esther and sigh.
"We will never move again, this will be our home forever"
"That or we could burn the apartment with everything in it" says while laughing and I roll my eyes but I end laughing too and Agapi joins us so the three of us end up laughing like fools for minutes, a little bit later Agapi looks at me and smile and in that moment I know she's gonna ask for the guy I met two days ago and I prepare myself for the interrogation
"Well you gonna tell us about that mysterious guy you met? Or we have to force you to tell us?" I look at her and sigh while I shake my head negatively and smile
"You know how I met him I told you" My smile gets bigger when I see how my best friends look at me
"Miriam..." Says Esther and I burst out laughing
"Okay okay" I say and then sigh while I let me fall back on the couch "He was so sweet and kind and..." I sigh while I remember his eyes and his smile, his beautiful smile that let me without breath, I am so lost in my thoughts that I hardly realize that my friends look at me waiting for me to continue talking and run their hand over my face to make me come back to reality, I look at them and smile while shaking my head negatively
"I'm sorry, I don't remember what I was saying" I say and I see how my best friends look at me, with a big smile while they shake their heads positively and look at each other
"You like him a lot, omg!" Says Agapi while she smiles and Esther nods her head, I look at them and shake my head negatively
"Shut up I barely know him, he hasn't even written to me a..." I say but I am interrupted by the sound of my phone telling me that I have a message, when I go to look at it I see that it is from Bryan inviting me to a party
"Is he?" I hear Esther ask but I'm so dumbfounded I can barely say a word all I can do is nod my head as I look at the message and I can't help but smile like a teenager looking at the screen 'What is happening with me? I'm not a teenager anymore, Miriam focus please' I think for myself and I force myself to focus and answer the message
"You going to answer him? Miriam?" I hear Agapi asking beside me and I turn my head to look at her
"I don't know if to go, I barely know him" I say and I see how my best friend look at me and then she reads the message
"He says you can go with friends, so if you're gonna feel better we can come with you to that party" She says and then she looks at Esther who's nods her head and I smile while I shake my head negatively
"Okay okay we will go, I'm going to answer him" I say and then I write the message for him.

He does not take long to respond and I smiled when I see his message and I respond him but his answer takes my breath away.

"OMG! He likes you a lot!" I hear scream Agapi non-stop jumping around the room happy and I can avoid laughing while watching her.

Hours later

I look at myself in the mirror while I finish preparing, I choose a tight black dress with sweetheart neckline and straps that highlights my curves without being too flashy, I have loose curly hair that falls perfectly down my back and shoulders and I have gently applied makeup along with some not too high black heels. I feel nervous and I don't understand why but I take a deep breath and leave the room to meet my friends who are impressive in their dresses. Minutes later we arrived at the place where the party is held and we head inside looking for Bryan, who appears in front of us and is stunned looking me up and down while smiling.
"Wow Miriam you're incredible!" Says and I can help to smile before his compliment
"Well you're not so bad either" I say while I look at him, he is gorgeous dressed in a white shirt with three open buttons, dark blue pants above the ankles and white sneakers his curly hair and his smile finish off his outfit, I stare at him engrossed until I hear Esther's throat clearing behind me and I turn away to introduce them
"Oh I going to introduce you to my besties, Agapi and Esther" I say pointing at them and look at Bryan
"He is Bryan" I say and I smile, he approaches them and shakes their hand with a smile
"Nice to meet you girls" he says and I see how my friends smile
"Same" They say at the same time, then he looks at us at three without stopping smiling and points behind him.
"Come on ladies I'm going to introduce you to my friends" We nods with our heads and follow him between the people until we arrive with six boys, each one more handsome, who look at us and smile. I see how one of them, a boy not much taller than Bryan, with light brown hair and greenish brown eyes looks at me and then at Bryan.
"Is she that Miriam you don't stop talking about brother?" He says and I see how Bryan hits him ashamed while his brothers laugh
"Shut the fuck up Chris" he says and he looks at me, I smile at him a little bit ashamed and I put a lock of hair behind my ear, then I see how Chris looks at Agapi and smiles, then he approach her and offer his hand as he introduces himself
"Hi I'm Chris" he says and I see how my best friend smile and takes his hand
"I'm Agapi" she says and his smile gets bigger
"Nice to meet you Agapi, you're so beautiful" he says and I see my friends smile gets bigger
"Thank you, you're not so bad either" She says and Chris laugh but I miss part of the conversation when I listen to Bryan
"You want to dance with me? He asks and I smile to him while I take his hand and nods my head.
"I love it" I say with a smile and I let him guide me to the dance floor, it's sounds a slow song and I see how he gently places his hand on my waist while entangling our fingers and I place my hand on his shoulder, a moment later we both move slowly to the rhythm of the music.
