"Look [REDACTED]. It's Ludwig. Ludwig the Holy Blade!"
"I want to be just like him someday!"
Powder Keg was brought out of his thoughts by the whistling of High Elf Archer's arrows. He hated the two moons. He spent the entire night staring at them.
Green reminds him of Ludwig. Powder Keg looked up to him as a child. He still kept up his hopeful outlook during the blood moon. Because he wanted to be like Ludwig.
Then he met Ludwig, and Powder Keg saw the Accursed Beast his idol became. That was were the idealistic boy that lasted so long truly died. Seeing the man he aspired to be, become that.
He hates the red moon because of the eldritch truth. Because when he killed Rom. Everything changed and the truth was revealed. All of his accomplishments, and suffering, was all just a game. A form of entertainment for the Great Ones. They could've helped, but he was just an ant. They were the people looking through a magnifying glass.
He walked alongside his party members. They walked to the dead bodies. Goblin Slayer began to gather the blood. "Not too different from beasts," Powder Keg muttered as he began to cover himself in the blood.
As he had done many times before. The rest of the party were all covered in blood. They all walked through the dark hallways. Powder Keg was in front, due to his sense of smell and vision.
Powder Keg held out his hand. "Alarm, right here," He pointed with his foot. "Coniving monsters, glad we have someone like you Powder Keg," Dwarf Shaman complimented.
"No totems," Goblin Slayer mused in concern. "Ordinary goblins shouldn't be able to set traps like this," Goblin Slayer explained. Powder Keg kneeled down and looked closely at the trap. It was more reminiscent of a.....no.
He stood up, and stepped over the trap. "I have heard tales of the large nests you have bravely destroyed Sir Goblin Slayer. What are your preferred options?" Lizard Priest asked.
"Smoke them out, then crush them one by one. Set them on fire, drown them in the river. Sic Powder Keg on them. There are many options," Goblin Slayer listed off.
"Are there tracks?" Goblin Slayer asked. "Yes, but I'm more used to tracking urban areas. I reccomend the Dwarf," Powder Keg said as he signaled Dwarf Shaman to come over.
He took one look at the tracks and around the crossroads. "Their hideout is down the left hallway," Dwarf Shaman answered. "Thank you, I smell them. I needed an underground expert for this," Powder Keg said as Dwarf Shaman smirked.
Powder Keg picked up another scent. He began to walk in the opposite direction. He kicked down the wooden door with his eldritch strength.
"A waste heap, of course," Powder Keg snarled in disgust. They found an elven woman chained up. Powder Keg was about to draw his blunderbuss, to put her out of her misery.
A goblin came out of the shadows. Who Goblin Slayer promptly killed. "Powder Keg, she is salvageable," Goblin Slayer said without turning around.
Powder Keg stopped his mercy kill. His blunderbuss wasn't even drawn yet. He nodded and Lizard Priest created a Dragon Tooth Warrior. Who carried the elf woman to safety.
Powder Keg, saw Goblin Slayer walk out with two new papers. "What did you find? Is it another scroll?" Priestess asked. "No, a map of the ruins, and a letter. I can't read it," Goblin Slayer reported.
Powder Keg saw how the parchment looked and clenched his fists. Why are they here? He didn't speak up, his voice died down.
As much as he wishes to. As much as he should. He won't get involved into their matters. It opened a new world of suffering when he did get involved. He lost two good friends to them.
