Everyone was sleeping and I thought I could escape but the ropes were too tight that I couldn't grab my dagger. I kept trying, even though my ribs were being crushed and was able to grab it.

Suddenly, I heard someone coming behind me. I quickly put my dagger behind as a shadow of man was passing by. Once his back was facing me, I began cutting the ropes until I was free. The binds fell and I slowly walked across the deck towards the quarters to get my swords.

When I got to the door, I slowly opened it and searched for two swords. I found them on a table that was besides a bed. The room looked empty so I quietly walked towards them. I grabbed them but I felt a cold blade under my chin. In my peripheral vision, I saw the first mate behind me.

"Looks like those ropes couldn't hold the pirate prince," he said.

"Looks like you want to kill me?" I asked.

"I might but I'm not going to do it now."

"Alright, then," I unsheathed one of my swords and removed his sword away from me. "Surrender to me so you and your men won't die or I'll fight you and you'll die, which I don't want to do. So I prefer you pick the first choice if you want to live."

He laughed. "Or you'll surrender to me so that Nekian can carry out her plan."

"Plan? What plan?" I growled.

"If you do what I say, you'll soon find out," he said.

"As if I'm going to surrender again and do what you say," I said.

"You stubborn brat," he gritted his teeth. "You're still here so you'll have to."

"No, I won't," I growled. "I'll escape and you're in my way." I grabbed both of my swords and went at him with a right slash. He dodged and blocked it.

"So who will leave this ship alive?" he asked.

"Not you," I said as I used my other sword to cut his upper arm. It hit, causing a lot of blood to come gashing out. Now was a good time to leave, which I did.

I made it to the main deck, trying to find something to get me out. I soon find a dinghy was already on ropes. I ran over to them and jumped in. I placed my swords in it as I started lowering into the dark cold water. But when I was about to flee, a knife stabbed my arm. I held the cry of pain, making sure not to wake the crew.

"I will find you, prince!" the first mate hollered. "Oh, and when I do, I'll make sure you wish you've never been born!" I roughly pulled out the knife and ignored him. I kind of struggled rowing all the way back to my ship, that was about a few leagues away.

As I made my way, a sudden question came to my mind. What is Nekian's plan? And why am I involved in it?
