"How the fuck does Nakamura go from a relatively minor stomach ache to vomiting blood?" Semi asked, slamming the patient file down on the oval conference table where Goshiki and Shirabu sat.

After hearing the news of Nakamura's state, Shirabu and Semi had stabilized the patient quite quickly and gave him some oxygen. Semi had paged Washijou right after, but the older doctor was still nowhere in sight.

Goshiki seemed to be quite shaken after the experience, but Semi had reassured him it wasn't his fault. After all, all they had done was administer some tests. It was possible that Nakamura could have had a bad reaction to the tests, but it wouldn't have caused him to vomit blood.

Shirabu leaned forward, grabbing the file from the space in front of Semi. He read through it quickly before shutting it and thrusting it back in the middle.

"Is it possible that Nakamura isn't telling us the whole story?" Shirabu said.

Semi paused, "That's a possibility, but he hasn't given us any reason not to believe him yet."

Goshiki looked in between the two doctors. "Maybe we should separate the family members and question them alone?"

Semi and Shirabu both nodded, agreeing with what Goshiki had proposed.

"Good idea Goshiki, would you mind interviewing the child. You were good with her earlier so I think you might get the most information." Semi asked.

"Yeah, I'll head out now. Page me if you need anything or if you have any more information." Goshiki said, pushing his chair in and heading out the door.

Semi and Shirabu looked at each other for a long moment before Shirabu spoke, "I'll interview the patient, which leaves you with Mrs. Nakamura."

"Okay, I'll head out now. Let me know if you find anything." Semi said, leaving Shirabu alone in the room.

Shirabu, now alone, sighed loudly. This case warranted way too much patient interaction.

"Hey!" Goshiki said, crouching down to the Nakamura's child's height, "Is it okay if we talk alone for a little bit?"

The girl looked up at Goshiki with her huge brown eyes, and Goshiki was paralyzed with the sheer level of cuteness the five year old possessed.

"Daddy says not to talk to strangers," she said, crossing her arms across her chest.

Goshiki laughed, "I'm not a stranger, I'm one of your dad's doctors, I just need to ask you some questions that will help me get your daddy all better okay?"

The girl paused, weighing her options, "Yeah, that's ok."

Goshiki smiles before leading the girl to the play room. "Thank you."

The two sat down across from each other on small chairs that were obviously not meant for people Goshiki's size.

"Keiko, right?" Goshiki asks, and the girl nods, "Can you tell me how your dad was acting before you both went on the trip?"

Keiko sighs, "Daddy was really boring. He wouldn't leave bed sometimes even though I told him he shouldn't be sleepy all day! He didn't even want to play with me!"

"Does your dad normally play with you a lot?" Goshiki asked.

Keiko nods excitedly, "Always, he loves building legos with me and he even plays house with me sometimes!"

Goshiki hums while he adds to the notes on his clip board.

"Did he seem sick before the trip?" He asked.
