S- A few minutes later John and Jarrod stopped to rest deep within the woods as he set Jarrod down. Jarrod's wound looked bad and as tempting as it would be give him some blood to speed his healing it was far to risky. His breeds blood was more....potent than most just giving him some risked turning him if he was lucky....if he was unlucky then every German within 5 miles would hear the man screaming.

"I think we are safe for the moment.....Jerry will be too occupied detaining prisoners and securing the base to come after two fleeing soldiers", John said as he began gathering sticks to start a low fire."Your not worried about them seeing the fire", Jarrod asked.John glanced over and shook his head."Its burning low.....and if they do decide to investigate they'll wish they hadn't.....my illusions are potent enough as is.....in a dark forest when soldiers are likely already spooked anyway....I'm not concerned", John said.Jarrod seemed to think on this for a moment before sighing and nodding."What do we do now....with the base under Jerry control we are well behind enemy lines now", Jarrod asked "Lay low for now.....rest your wound.....when the time comes.....we'll worry about that.....way I see it we have three options....one we go on foot....highly unlikely we will make it.....two we infiltrate our now Jerry controlled base and steal a vehicle to flee with....risky but better than the alternative.....or three we surrender", John said.Jarrod leaned his head back against a tree and sighed as the fire was started and he began dressing his own wounds with whatever wasn't ruined in his pack by Shifter slobber."You should have left me....back when you had a chance to stop Richtofen and that other shifter from fleeing.....we knew their morale would soar if they got him back....damned if the German didn't deliver", Jarrod said.

Z- Just past the low light of the fire, they could hear the sound of bushes trembling, two pairs of the familiar reddish glow most vampires sport showing in the darkness, too small and low to the ground to be shifters, but the use of vampires on the ground certainly wasn't anything new.

S- Jarrod's became alert almost immediately as he heard the rustling in the bushes and his eyes fell on the reddish glow of vampiric eyes. John was already alert as well his eyes glowing blue as he looked in the direction of the eyes. He made no aggressive moves just yet, but he was hoping to avoid fighting with more vampires. Jarrod was wounded far worse than even he realized so he wasn't going to be able to do much fighting back. John slowly backed up so he was in front of Jarrod as he watched the figures get closer his claws extended.

Z- a familiar voice could be heard from the bushes, with a noticeable British accent "Easy mate, don't do anything hasty now." Arthur walks into the open, his hands raised, with Captain Albright in tow "Don't wanna attack a friendly now, eh?"

S- John slowly lowered his guard as he watched the two vampires before lowering his claws.

"Holy crap...you made it too Arthur!....Captain Albright! Wasn't sure anyone else made it to be honest.....that was....bad....the Jerry's massacred us", Jarrod said. John seemed to give them a slight nod as he motioned for them to join in. "Glad someone else made it.....though the situation might actually be worse now than should we have been captured", John said.

Z- Red speaks up, scratching his head "Yeah, things are a bit rough, but Condor squadron's base is still up, we were hoping to make it back there to regroup."

Arthur goes over to Jarrod, looking him over "You look rather rough mate, might be a bit hard on ya... maybe you should have surrendered."
