Chapter Two

Hi everyone! Hope you all enjoyed that previous chapter! I'm going to start posting chapters weekly so stay in tune and stuff. A HUGE thanks to GraceMercury for the awesome cover :) So, without further ado, I give you chapter two (rhyme intended). And this is where the fun really begins...

They eventually emerged from the scrub onto a wide street with houses lining each side.

"Ha! Fancy that!" Clara exclaimed. "It's like crossing between two different planets!"

"Oh no," he corrected. "We both know what that's like."

They began to walk down the road, but then the Doctor stopped abruptly.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Did you feel that?"

"Feel what?"

The Doctor dropped to the ground and scanned the Tarmac with his screwdriver.

Clara realised that she would have to repeat the question. "Doctor, what happened?"

"The ground just shifted. Only slightly, but it shifted. This street is filled with aerocosmic energy. This is what drew the TARDIS here. But where is it coming from?"

He held out his screwdriver and slowly made his way down the street. Clara followed him, as always. She realised how greatly he resembled someone holding a metal detector, edging their way along, hesitating every once in a while, then forgetting it and moving on.

The Doctor finally stopped at a large, yellow house with a steep driveway. Number 15.

"Bingo."

They made their way up the driveway and to the front door. He knocked twice and waited. A dark-haired teenage girl answered. She was wearing shorts and a baggy t-shirt that read - 'Whovian'. As she laid eyes on the pair, her eyes widened and she took a step back.

"Hello, I'm the Doctor, and this is Clara."

Clara smiled pleasantly. "Hello!"

The girl said nothing, just cupped her hand over her mouth in shock.

The Doctor looked concerned. "Are you okay?"

She finally managed, "Matt Smith...Jenna Coleman. Oh my gosh."

"I don't understand," Clara said.

The girl pointed at the Doctor. "You're Matt Smith!" Then Clara. "And you're Jenna Coleman!"

The Doctor shook his head."No, I think you have us mistaken. I'm the Doctor, and this is Clara!"

The girl started crying and Clara immediately shot forward and put her arm around the teen. "Now, don't cry. It's okay-"

"This is the best day of my life!" The girl gasped. "Wh- What are you doing here? Please, come inside."
