Chap.21 broken friendship

Your POV

Izu's been ignoring me for weeks now,i really wanted to talk to him because usually he's my comfort listener if that makes sense.I often think if i did something wrong to upset him.

Maybe he's still upset that i need to go back?no.. he can't be right?.I sighed and went to class alone like the past few weeks.I sat down seeing Izu's still talking to Uraraka.My heart hurts so much seeing him with other girls ESPECIALLY Uraraka,because i can confirm the possibility of him liking her is really high.

Then Mr.Aizawa came in,"Good morning,i have an announcement for an upcoming event we're having" he said as he pulls out papers.Then he gave out the papers,it was a dance invitation.

"Omg,does this mean we get a prom night!?" Mina asked,Mr.Aizawa nodded "Yes,we usually hold theses types of events once in 2 years so this is why you all had just heard of it,now if you want to talk about it don't be too noisy" he says as he puts himself in his usual cacoon/caterpillar like sleeping bag.

Dance night?I've never been to one.Does this mean we have to bring dates?does Izu want to- no.. he'll probably ignore me like before.I thought as i slouched.

Deku's POV

Dance night?i've just heard UA holds any type if dances.I looked over to Y/N who was slouching,'what's up with her?' i thought.

"Midoriya." i heard and i jumped up being surprised by Todoroki's presence."T-todoroki-kun y-you startled me.." i said,he looked at me upset."I heard you ignored L/N.explain yourself" he said.I looked down as i was ashamed.

Todoroki sighed and shook his head while rubbing his cheeks,"That's very irresponsible and immature of you Midoriya" he said as he removed his hand from his face."I... i know" i said in return."But..i can't control myself,my face reddens everytime i see her now that i know i have feelings for her" i whispered.

Todoroki still gave me an upset look "Is that a reasonable reason to ignore the person who's been with you for the past 6 months though?" he asked.I shook my head.

Todoroki told me to ask her to the dance later,maybe i could confess to her at the dance and explain why i ignored her.I nodded and he went back to his seat and i did too.At this point,Y/N was just sitting there on her desk slouching,her face burried into her folded arms.

I felt really guilty for ignoring her over such an idiotic reason.When lessons were over we all went to lunch,she sat with Kacchan's friend group because of me ignoring her.I saw her sit there infront of Kacchan,her shoulders were dropped and her smile was nowhere to be seen.

After eating i got up and excused myself,but Uraraka told me to come with her.I couldn't decline and went with her."You needed anything Uraraka-san?" i asked.She nodded and her face flushed red "Please go to the dance with me Deku-kun!" she said.My eyes widened,i couldn't reject my best friend!?.

I was silent for a few minutes,"So?.." she asked.I nodded and said "I..i would like to".She smiled and thanked me then went back to class.I felt really bad.. but she's my bestest friend from the first year of highschool."You're the lowest scum in the world...Izuku Midoriya" i told myself..

I mean,am i wrong?.

I went to class and saw Uraraka being cheerful,i was glad atleast one of my best friend was happy.I know that sounds very mean of me to just ignore Y/N's feelings like that but i'm just to stupid.

I decided to sit next to her after so long,her face was still burried in her arms but i know she knows i'm here."Hey..Y/N" i said,she further more burried her face in her folded arms."I'm sorry for.." i said but she cut me off "It's okay Midoriya".'M-midoriya?!" i thought to myself.

"So...who're you going to the dance with?" i asked."Bakugou,i mean i would love to go with you but i over heard Uraraka talking to the girls about you wanting to go to the dance with her so i accepted Bakugou's invitation on being his date" she answered.

'Kacchan!?' i thought again,"Ah,at least you have a date.I have to go now okay?" i said and went to my seat.Her face turned gloomier than ever

Todoroki then gave me a confused and dissapointed look,i know.. i'm a jerk.

Back at the dorms,i decided to stay in my room.That's enough drama for today.But then i heard a knock on the door,it was Y/N."Hi..Midoriya" she said in a really soft voice.I was silent,i didn't want to talk and say something that could hurt her further again.

"About..our secret place.." she said,'what?secret place..don't tell me she told other people..'."I just wanted to tell you..you can keep it,after i go back i probably won't see it anymore so i wanted to give it to you" she continued.'Wait so it's positive that she could go back!?' i thought.But that wasn't the main problem,is she seriously going to just break this friendship!?.

She walked away but i grabbed her hand and pulled her in my room.I closed and locked the door,"Midoriya what are you.." she asked.I looked at her with a stern look."Midoriya?what happened to Izu?and why would you just give up OUR secret place like that?!you know that this is equal to you giving up to our friendship!" i yelled.

Her stare turned into sadness mixed with a hint of anger."How is this all my..fault!?,you were the one who ignored me most of the time!i've been patient for way too long!i've been there for you and now you're basically don't care do you!?" she yelled back,i could see her tears fall off of her cheek.

Her tears were so much,oh shit,i did it again..i hurted Y/N again."I..j..just do..n't under..stand you..anymore" she said with sniffs in between her words.She ran towards the door and unlocked and opened it and ran back to her room.

'Izuku you're such a f*cking jerk' i told myself as i closed the door.I sat down on my floor and didn't realize tears rolling down my cheek."I'm sorry Y/N..i'm such an idiot" i said.

Welp..this situation just got shittier.
