The sun’s rays took its time entering Weiss’ room as she laid there sound asleep on her bed. Her breathing was steady, her smile, sweet and warming. It had been days since she could sleep as well as this and it was Ruby who made it all better. When the sun had finally penetrated through the curtains of her windows and rested on her eyes, she began to stir. She groaned to herself annoyed about having to wake up so soon. Her eyes were pressed tightly together. She rolled over facing the side opposite to her. Her eyes then shot open feeling no presence besides her.
Ruby… her thoughts spoke to her. She searched left and right, she sprung upright causing herself to see black for a brief moment, but with one arm she surveyed the area where Ruby slept again, it didn't feel warm like it should have. When she regained absolute focus again she circled around her room in case Ruby was around the corner somewhere… Trying to play a joke on her or something. She pondered for a moment.
Where could have Ruby gone? Last night couldn't have been of my imagining… it was far too real… I also didn't sleep until after one… Ruby…where are you?
She looked over to her alarm clock; it was almost ten. Then she saw a little piece of paper with writing besides it, right away she knew that the handwriting belonged to Ruby. Her heart was finally at ease again.
“Hopefully this won't take long. Be back as soon as I can, promise. I love you” The note said.
Weiss smiled and prepared herself for the day to kill time. She did all that was necessary for a healthy hygiene, even taking her sweet time, still no Ruby. She picked up a book to read, but it couldn't entertain her. She read over the same line over a dozen times. She brought out her scroll thinking to message Ruby, but remembered that Ruby's scroll is currently not in her possession since the incident. She just could not get Ruby out of her mind.
“Fine… waiting it is…” she sighed unconsciously dropping the book onto the ground. Before trying to pick it up, she then heard three gentle raps knocking at her door. She flew faster than a bullet towards the door and opened it without even bothering to ask who was on the other side of it.

“I believe that we should have Ruby under more care and examination, Professor Ozpin.” Glynda Goodwitch suggested.
“I agree.” General Ironwood chimed in. “Seeing the results of her aura spiking unexpectedly while still unconscious… that might be dangerous for the body, if not now then maybe in the future.”
“Ruby, how are you feeling?” Professor Ozpin inquired.
“I feel fine… as good as new.” Ruby smiled.
"Guys, she said she feels fine. She should be free to go." Qrow chimed in. Turning to Ruby, he gave her a wink and whispered, "Don't worry kiddo, I've got your back."
Ozpin turned to General Ironwood and Glynda with a faint smile occurring. Then he turned back to Ruby. "General, Glynda, I must disagree with you both. Ruby is free from any further examination."
"What? But Professor!" General Ironwood exclaimed. "Are you out of your mind? Did you not hear from the both of us?"
Glynda released a small sigh. "Forget it General. Once Professor Ozpin has made up his mind, there's no convincing him to change it. Besides, I just want to be sure that she is alright, unlike you James."
