Ava's pov
"ava, Jaden's here!" my mom yells from downstairs.

shit i'm late for the first day of school!!

i jump out of bed and put on my uniform, I quickly do some curls on my hair so they look sorta like beach waves.

I run downstairs and say goodbye to my mom and run outside. i see Jaden in the driveway with his new car.

Jaden. let me tell you a little about him. it all started in 3rd grade when i met him, he was the class clown and i was the shy little girl. he was oddly really nice to me and we've been best friends ever since. we have always been there for each other and talk about anything. we're really close, we would always go to each other's houses and do all that kinda shit.

"what took you so damn long" Jaden laughs.

"i just woke up" I say putting on my seatbelt.

"heyy ava" mads says sarcastically.

mads... also known as jaden's girlfriend. they starting dating last year. they are always on and off with each other. i still don't get how Jaden's dating this bitch. she's always hated me for some odd reason, i've never done anything bad to her, she's just always been like that. i would always support Jaden tho because i know he really likes her and I want him to be happy.

"heyy mads" i say equally as sarcastic.

I turn to Jaden and give him a glare. he knows that we both dislike each other and we both agreed that anytime he's with her not to be around me. she's always trying to start arguments with me and I take it anymore.

"her car won't start" jaden whispers and i sigh.
"i'm sorry" he pouts and i roll my eyes.

we arrive at school and we all get down from the car.

"oh i see clair! bye babe, thanks for the ride" mads squeals and  jumps on Jaden and kisses him. that's fucking disgusting, that was the last thing i wanted to see to start off my morning. Jaden tries to gently push her off but she won't budge. well that's enough for today, i start to walk off and I hear footsteps behind me.

"wait" jaden says still trying to catch up.

"you two disgust me" i say and he laughs.
"i'm not kidding" i glare at him.

"i know i know" he says. "are you going to the party tonight?" he adds more excitingly

"uhm i don't know, parties aren't really my scene" i joke and he smirks.

"oh really." he glares at me and i nod. "we both know damn well you're the life of the party" he says.

"awh i think that's the sweetest thing you've ever said to me" I pretend to cry and he nudges me playfully and we both smile.

"ok but for real everybody loves having you at their parties" he smiles genuinely

"stop! you're gonna give me a big head" I laugh and roll my eyes.

"you already have one" he jokes and i shove him and he bumps into somebody.

"watch it!" nick yells pushes jaden off.

"shit, i'm sorry we were-"Jaden starts. "oh it's just you" he adds and nick rolls his eyes.

"hey ava" nick smiles

"hey nick" i smile back.

Jaden glances at us and looks awkward.

"ugh get over it! you guys broke up! can we go to class now" Jaden grabs my arms and basically drags me.

"what was that for" I scoff

"you should be thanking me, i just saved you back there" Jaden says not letting go of my arm.

Now let me give you a little bit of background information about Nick. We dated for about a year and we decided to break up a week ago, we both decided that it was the best for us. i still love him.

Jaden and Nick never liked each other very much. i don't really know why, nick would always suspected that their was something going on with me and jaden, which their wasn't, but he would think that because we would always be around each other 24/7, until he got with Mads. We haven't been as close as we used to be, but we still manage.

"i actually wanted to talk to him" i pout and he gives me a glare, if looks can kill i would be dead.

"what would you possibly need to talk to him about?" jaden scoffs.

"i don't know" i shrug. I do know, but i can't tell Jaden, not yet at least.
