AVAS POV
i wake up to me laying in a bed. i recognize this room.

it's jaden's. then i see him coming inside with a brown paper bag.

"you're finally awake" he says sitting beside me on the bed

"what happened last night" i ask rubbing me eyes.

"have you seen what you're wearing?" he smiles. i look down to see me in my bra and underwear. it's not uncomfortable in front of jaden or anything, he's walked in on me changing a bunch of times.

i let out a sigh.

"my head hurts" i whine and he gives me the paper bag and i give him a confused look.

"it's everything you need for a hangover" he says.

"and this is why you're my best friend" i say kissing his cheek and he laughs in response.

he looks a bit anxious.

"what's wrong" i ask and he sighs

"me and mads...we broke up" he says, i'm really not surprised, this has been going on for months.

this is not the first time and it's definitely not going to be the last, but i know that i have to be there for him, just like he's always there for me.

"what happened" i ask

"we got into this stupid argument, she said some things, i said some things.. you know how it ends" he shrugs and i frown

"we should go to the movies tonight, so you can get your mind off of this shit" i suggest

"i'd like that" he lets out a small smile.

"fuckkk my head is killing me" i whine and he laughs. thank god today's saturday, i would not be able to even walk to my class if we had school.

"well yeah, you had like 8 drinks" he says

"what?!" i ask in complete shock

"and you let me?!" i add

"i know you are not blaming me, i tried to take away your drinks but you got in my face and told me to stop being an asswipe" he says getting close to my face just like i did to him last night

"yeah, sounds like me" i smile to myself and he nudges me.

"can i borrow some clothes" i ask and he nods

he gives me his sweatshirt and some sweats and i thank him.

we both go downstairs to see his mom cooking.

"Ava!! i haven't seen you in a long time!!" she pulls me into a hug and squeezes me and i smile

Jaden's mom and i have always been close, she's like my second mother.

"i'm making pancakes so you both are right on time" she smiles and i thank her.

"so you two...what happened last night" she asks gesturing between us, trying to fight her smile.

"nothing happened" i laugh

"you never know, me and jaden's father-" she starts

"please don't finish that sentence" jaden says quickly and we laugh.

"i was just saying, now that you and that madison girl are done, you can always-" she adds

"mom i still love her" he says. Jaden's mom and i both just stayed quiet.

i hope he's doesn't get all soft on me like this tonight. i don't want to be handling with anything to do with mads.
