It was Friday at 1PM as Barba quickly walked down the courthouse steps. Judge Decarlo adjourned the case until Monday morning. Being released from court this early would normally make him nervous. Today, he was relieved.

Since Olivia's latest crisis, Barba spent the majority of his time by her bedside, he only left to work, shower, and get a clean change of clothes.

It worried him that since what happened to her she spoke very little, but he didn't want to push her. He still didn't know what exactly happened. Fin ordered security by her hospital room, which upset Olivia, and made Barba feel more at ease. Barba felt his feet on the sidewalk. He was almost running from the courthouse when he heard a familiar voice yell. " Counselor!" Barba stopped walking, turned his head, and saw Carisi walking toward him.

"Carisi Any news on the investigation?" Barba asked when Carisi was right in front of him.

"Not yet, we're looking into it. You know that right?" Carisi answered.

Barba nodded. "I gotta go,"

"Wait!" Carisi said quickly before Barba could walk any further. "Have lunch with me and Rollins. My treat."

"Now no." Barba answered. "I have to shower, change, and get back to the hospital."

"In about 2 hours then!" Carisi said excitedly.

"How did you even know I'd be getting out of court now."

"Rollins called." Carisi answered.

Barba wasn't surprised. He saw Rollins sitting in the gallery. She must have called Carisi almost the second the judge said the word adjourned. "That was fast." Barba said.

"We really need to talk to you." Carisi said.

"I don't have time, and you don't have to buy me lunch to talk to me. I have to get to Liv." He moved to walk past Carisi, but the man blocked him, feeling an urgent need to keep the conversation going.

"You can bring her food, I promise this place has better food than what she's getting in the hospital."

"You have a specific place in mind?" Barba said, raising an eyebrow.

Carisi reached into his coat pocket. He pulled a card out, and handed it to Barba. "Meet us there. The lieutenant likes the food."

Barba read the name on the card, and he studied the directions. He placed the card carefully into his coat. "Fine I'll meet you there. I won't stay long. I can't." Carisi noded, and stepped aside. He watched as Barba almost ran away.

It was 2:15 when Barba entered a crowded Angelo 's Italian Restaurant. Immediately, his eyes focused on Carisi and Rollins who were waving him over to a booth, He quickly walked over and sat across from the couple, who were drinking coffee. "Let's make this quick, I called the hospital before heading over here. Liv's sleeping, I want to make it back to her before she wakes up."

Barba said in his focused, all business voice.

"Has Liv told you anything about what happened to her?" Amanda asked, looking frustrated.

"No, not yet." Barba thought back to the hours of waiting to see if Olivia was going to live. He still felt a pang of disappointment when he thought of the fact that Rollins got to see Olivia before he did. After his discussion with Dr. Wilder, he thought he would be the first. It also worried him that Rollins saw Olivia first. Was there a specific reason why Dr. Wilder thought it was important?
