It was late in the evening when you were busy drowning yourself in the clusters of paperwork piling up on your desk. You had dried yourself up not too long ago, and the afternoon sun had disappeared, unable to provide you with the warmth you had hoped for. Lighting up the oil lamp resting on a hard leathered book, you were interrupted when you heard giggles and laughter outside of your quarters. Your eyebrows twitched, "By God's name, I better not see what I think I'm going to see..." Pushing back your chair, you stretched before facing the inevitable. Trudging out of your quarters, you came across the usual nightly routine of your crew. Singing, drinking, cleaning, attending daily ship maintenance. However, there was a slight difference. The smile that slowly crept up as you watched your crew quickly dripped into a frown.

"Now...you lots better have an excellent fucking excuse to tell me why they are on my ship. The venom in your voice was evident, and you were not amused in the slightest. The scene in front of you presented a few of the sirens from the afternoon. Flirting with your crew, saying sweet nothings into their ears and giggling when they had said nothing humourous. Leaning their figure within their arms and placing a hand on their chest, they had somehow made themselves comfortable on your ship despite having fins for legs. Observing the site in front of your (coloured) orbs locked when you found your sister happily sitting on a barrel as a siren braided her brown locks.

Elora slightly jumps in response when she catches your angered expression. Still, she plays it off nonchalantly as she waves you over, "get over here!"

Your heels click loudly on the wood below you as you stomp towards her, "Elora, you listen to me right now- tie your hair back this instant!" You slap the sirens scaly hands off of your sister, as she hisses back in response. Ignoring her, you continue, "Have you forgotten your place and dismissed your safety? what if the others catch you like this?!"

She only laughs, "Captain, you don't have to worry about them, trust me." You were taken aback by her behaviour. "They're too distracted by the others to heed me any attention."

Craning your head to look behind you, you eyed the very captains sailing along with your ship, flirting with the other sirens. You chewed the inside of your cheeks out of annoyance before making your way over to the other craft.

Landing on Yao's deck, you yell, "What are you lots doing?! Do you really not know what these creatures are capable of? If anything, you're entertaining these scoundrels!" You asked with your hands crossed over your chest.

One of the sirens snapped their heads to look at you, clearly offended. "How many times do we have to correct you, stupid girl!" We are mermaids!" She stopped for a moment before holding Yao closer to her chest. "We have no intentions in committing such vulgar actions on these handsome young men." She purrs out her last sentence as she strokes Yao's chin. She grins from ear to ear seeing his eyes lust over her. "The only erratic thing I'd commit is to have my hands all over-"

"Shut your gob, Siren! Your excuses are irrelevant. You really think I'd belive your sorry story? I've had my fair share in Sirenuse near Paestum. I've seen what your kind has done." You growl, slowly walking towards the group.

You stopped in your tracks, hearing a familiar voice. "Leave them (name)...there's no point in convincing these sorry lots."

You turn to face a particular Ukrainian, "Katyusha-! I-I haven't seen you since we left Britain...where were you all this time?"

Katyusha could only muster up a forced yet faint laugh, "I just needed some to be alone. After what happened to Natalya..."

You could only nod in understanding, holding her shoulder for added comfort. You avert your attention back to the other lowly captains. "A great disappointment lads...and you call yourselves Captains. You all should be well aware of the stories of this old Greek seduction." The sirens only giggle and smile, hearing this title.
