Chapter 10

I walked into the house. Streamers, balloons, and cake. I don't know when the last time I had a birthday party was. The last one I remember was when I was 7. Then my mom met Ben. It annoys me how he affects her so much. She can't leave the house without him up her ass.

I walked around, and smiled at the balloons. Oh, they're just plastic sacks full of air, just like the doctor who episode when the doctor and Rose go to this space dinner and don't get anyone gifts so the doctor give them air from his lungs.
"You guys didn't have to do this" I say with tears of joy in my eyes
"We didn't have to, but we wanted to, because we care" Brendan said with a smile on his face. I walked over and kissed him "babe, not when my moms around" I laugh then see how embarrassed he is, then we all laugh.

After a few hours of just sitting around playing xbox and cuddling? Brendan gets up and leaves the room.
"Hun, where are you going?" I stand up to follow him.
"No peaking! Close your eyes and sit on the bed!" Oh no, not a gift. Just then, he walks in with a small rectangle box. "Alice," he says looking into my eyes "I love you, and I hate to see you get hurt. I'm so glad these past months I've been able to spend with you. Here, open this." I do as I'm told and open the box.

I automatically gasp at what's inside. A charm bracelet. "Can you tell me what all of them mean?" I plead.
"Of course, there's batman, because you love batman, a rose, because you can hurt people to protect yourself, an angel, because the first day I knew I liked you for sure, you were wearing your black veil brides shirt, a police box, for your love of doctor who, and lipstick, because when I finally got the courage to talk to you, you were only wearing that cute pink colour of yours"
"What's this one? I twist the the star.
"That, is my promise that I will love you to the stars and back." He said with the biggest smile on his face.

After a few more hours at his house we just ate cake and played more video games, I went back to my house, I could've believe who was standing there.
My dad! I walked into the door slowly. This can't be him, my dad was gone 10 years ago. Why is he here, why today?
"Honey, we need to talk," my mother says sternly. "Your father is here a-" I cut her off
"I know he's here! Why the fuck is he here!" Oops I wasn't supposed to swear
"I'm going to let that one slide because it's your birthday, but alice, he wants you to visit him this week. Okay? And you will do that."
I didn't want to, but next thing you know, I'm in my room packing for a week.
