Where my dad was standing, was now occupied by a large brown and blonde wolf. A freaking wolf! So I guess I did the only thing that I could at the current moment in time, the only thing my mind could actually withstand me doing, and that was to scream.
Ivan clamped a hand down on my face, covering the whole thing. I peeked an eye through a gap in his fingers.
“Mrrrhhmmmmpphhh!” I have no idea what I just tried to say, but I just needed to make some kind of noise to show my struggle here.
“Shhhhhhh, it’s ok, he won’t hurt you.” Ivan spoke to me like I was a child. He gently removed his hand and then gripped my shoulders. “Dad, you’re scaring her. You need to change back.”
“I-I,” I spluttered and tried to twist out of my brothers grip, but failed. He was too damn strong.
The wolf that was ‘Dad’ supposedly, padded around the room, walking behind the couch. Mum went over and I screamed again.
“Mum, No! Don’t go over there!” I tried to stop her.
“Sweetie, It’s ok, he won’t hurt any of us,” she tried to calm me down.
I just stood there, still in Ivan’s arms, unable to move.
Mum pulled some jeans off the couch I didn’t see there before. Now that I think about it, I looked to the carpet where the wolf was and saw just shredded remains of my father’s clothes.
I heard the crunching of bones and grunts of pain, taking my attention back to the couch where the wolf went.
My father emerged from behind the couch with the jeans on that Mum had a moment ago. He just stood there, staring at me. In fact, the whole family just stood there, all looking at one another, then to me, probably seeing what I would do next.
I couldn’t take any more in. I mean, my Dad just turned into a freaking wolf for goodness sakes. I needed some time to myself, so when I felt Ivans hold on me loosen I pushed away and made for my room.
“Just leave her, Cezar,” I heard Mum say to Dad. “She needs time to take this in.”
Damn right she needs time to take this in.

It had been a few hours since I locked myself in my room after the sudden realisation that my family was mad.
I was currently sitting on my window sill, dangling my legs over the side of the house. It was such a peaceful evening, no wind, no clouds and a few crickets were chirping away, being crickets.
I momentarily forgot about all the crazy shit that just happened in my life. It was nice to live in an ignorant bliss, if only for a few seconds.
“Acacia, you need to open up this door! It’s been long enough. This is ridiculous,” Quite literally a few seconds.
“No!” I yelled back to my Dad who was now attempting to twist the locked door knob.
It was difficult to imagine myself like that, a wolf. And to think that craziness was going to happen in a few days… on my birthday no less. I mean, how tacky is that? On your 16th birthday all shall be ruined and you will be damned forever… mwhahaha. Yeah right. What poppycock.
“Acacia…” Dad warned. I turned my head back through the window just in time to see my poor door break off its hinges and fall to the ground. I was speechless. Did he just..?
When Dad scanned my room and his eyes landed on my, with my legs swaying out the window, he looked alarmed.
“Get back from there, now,” He commanded.
