"Did you have any goals? Like what you would do after you graduate?" He asked you.

"Well, I actually wanted to move out and get a job. But it didn't work... my parents didn't let me go because they were too fond of me. I sometimes work for my dad. I guess I never had the chance to get out of my father's shadow and do something of my own."

He hummed. "Do you want to work after marriage? Well you really don't need to but I'll respect your decision. I don't want you to get tired unnecessarily. Well, I currently have no maid in the house since I live alone and don't need one. Cooking, shoping, cleaning....all those basic things......I do them on my own. If you work, we can arrange a maid I guess. Whatever you wish."

You smile at his words. "I'll see. If I get bored then maybe I would find a job."

"Bored?" He tilted his head.

"Well..... it's not like you are going to be home frequently considering the fact that you even forgot about our dinner today. So I'll be alone most of the time."

He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. "I'm really sorry. My head was not in the right place today. I was just so busy with everything that I forgot about this. It isn't common for me to go on dates and have relationships with women. I'm always invested in work so I really don't have time for relationships."

You pout. "What about me? You won't have time for me too?"

His eyes widened. "No! No! Of course not! You are going to be my wife, of course I'll have time for you. It's just that I was too tired to find someone good or keep up with relationships. Deal with all that drama. Of course marriage is different. I'll try to be the best husband."

You chuckled at his flustered blabber. "It's ok, you work hard. There's nothing wrong in aiming for perfection. Just don't forget about me." He chuckled softly feeling warmth radiating in his insides.

How does she know what I want?

"I won't. I promise."

You tilt your head and smile. "You do? Or else I'll be very sad and lonely."

He shook his head. "I won't ever purposefully make you sad or regret your decision to marry me. I can't promise for a fact that everything will be happily ever after because that's impossible. But I would make sure that I would hold up my side of marriage and do my best as a husband should. Treat you like a good husband should."

You chuckle. "Well, I'll do my best as a wife too. And treat you good."

You both grin at each other feeling that fuzzy warmth in the pit of your stomachs when you gaze into each other eyes.

Both of you knew that if it works out, you both might end up living the next best thing to happily ever after.

Maybe.

"Would you be at home?"

"I'll try to. I hate going to work anyways."

"What would we do?"

"Umm....Husband and wife things?"

You raised your eyebrows. "Like what?"

He's blushing.  "I-I dunno.......go on dat-roam around?"

"I can roam around on my own." You grin.

"Watch movies?"

"Friends watch movies too."

"C-Cook?"

"A house helper does that. What's 'husband and wife'?"

He's gulping seeing your eyes darkening mischievously.
