"I'm fine." You smile at him. The man frowns. "You are not. Look at how much weight you lost."
You chuckled. "I'm actually on a diet."
He rolled his eyes. "You are my daughter y/n, and my daughter doesn't do dieting. She loves her food too much to follow a diet."
"I'm not lying!" You laugh.
"Dig jungkook say something? Did he mention you getting fat? If he did, tell him to come and meet me. Young women shouldn't lose weight by dieting. It's bad for the health. I'm gonna teach him a lesson-"
"Trust me, I'm fine. He didn't say anything."
"How's he?" He sat on the chair with you following suit.
"Ah, he's good." You put on the brightest smile. Eunwoo narrowed his eyes. "This is about him, isn't it?"
"Wha-no!"
You didn't want to stress your parents on this. They had enough troubles. And you were old now. That meant you should be able to take your own responsibilities.
"Again, I have raised you." You seldom saw your father this intimidating. He was so playful at home.
Jungkook is the same.
Stop thinking about him.
"It's nothing dad. Trust me." The man sighed. "Ok. I know you both are mature enough to solve your conflicts wisely. Just communicate properly."
There's nothing left to communicate.
"I know dad....."
"So, I'm giving you a copy of this contract and I want you to pass it to jungkook today so that he could sign it."
"I'll give it when he comes home today."
"No, I want you to go there now."
"Why-"
"It's important. I know there's something going on between you two. Otherwise you would have bounced off the floors to go there on normal times." You groan and get up placing the folder in your purse.
You regretted last time when you pleaded dad to give you something to deliver in the company. Just a reason to see jungkook working again. You had then waltz out of the office and hurried to jungkook's. You had even waited for one whole hour just to see him when you could just pass it to the reception.
He had then laughed seeing you sitting like an excited puppy outside the conference room. Jungkook hugged you tightly and planted a kiss on your cheek before kidnapping you and taking you to his office.
And then had eaten you out as a reward for sitting so patiently.
You missed those times.
You missed him.
"If you give up your pride and begin a conversation with him things would go back to normal. Trust me, I have 25 years of experience."
"Why do I have to initiate everything?!" You groan and slither down the chair.
"Someone has to or it would never go back to normal. A relationship is like a seesaw. Someone has to go down so that the other rises up. And when you keep on returning the efforts, it continues to move in a perfect rhythm. That's how life is."
"What if it's already too late?"
"What if it's just the beginning?" You look at him.
"You never know what the other person is facing. Try seeing it from his perspective and you would get your answer. Sometimes there are misunderstandings. Sometimes you both would be looking at the same picture in two complete opposite ways. No two people are same. Try giving him your picture and let him do the same."
