Chapter 8

Y/N POV

After talking with Merlin, I calmed down a bit, and she kissed my cheek.

Merlin: Don't worry about those posers, you gotta focus on you and your friends. You worry us, you know that? Just because you're the sin of pride doesn't mean that you don't feel other emotions.

Y/N: Thank you, dear Merlin. I am indeed feeling better now. I also owe an apology to some friends for showing a side of me that I don't want known.

I walked over towards where I saw teams JNPR and RWBY standing, and they looked petrified. I stood before them, and I knelt down before them.

Y/N: I am sorry that you had to see that side of me. My temper sometimes gets the best of me...

Ruby was the first to approach me, and she gives me a hug the best she can despite my size.

Ruby: We all face anger more than you may think, but we have friends that help us, and love us to keep us going down the right paths.

I smiled at her, and I wrapped an arm around her. She soon released me from the hug, and she looked up at me.

Y/N: Thank you, Miss Rose. I needed that.

She grabbed my hand, and we walked back inside.

Ruby: Do you think you're still up for Saturday?

Y/N: Sure.

She smiled, used her speed to reach my shoulder and kissed my cheek before running back off to her dorm room. I smiled from that, and I kept walking towards the mess hall. I grabbed a quick meal, and I went to the library to do a bit of studying. I grabbed my pair of reading glasses, and I flipped through my assigned books. After some time, I heard some quiet footsteps, and I felt my eyes being covered.

???: Guess who~?

Y/N: If it's who I think it is, you're not exactly too keen on hiding your presence, Yang.

Sure enough, Yang groaned from me knowing it was her.

Yang: You're no fun when you know it's me.

Y/N: Not my fault you're terrible at hiding. Plus, your voice is a dead giveaway.

She chuckles and sits down next to me at the table.

Yang: Need a study buddy?

Y/N: I didn't know that you could actually study.

Yang: Funny.

She grabbed a few books, and started reading. I took off my readers, and rubbed my eyes. As I saw the sun start going down from a window, I could feel myself start to lose my physical strength.

Yang: You okay?

Y/N: Yes, you're about to see what I look like when the sun goes down.

I put my glasses back on, and I could feel my size go down.

Y/N: Just know that when I'm in this form, my personality is... different.

Yang: How so? Oh wait, I think I remember? You're more humble by night, right?

Y/N: Exactly.

Eventually, my body grew smaller, more frail even. By the time it was done, my uniform shrunk along with me.

Y/N: There we are... my nightly form. I use this form to run a tavern I own in town.

Yang: No kidding... maybe I should stop by sometime.

Y/N: Well, my door is always open. Anyways, I think it's time we went to bed. I'm awfully tired after today. I'll walk you to your room.

Yang: I kinda like this form. It's more... subtle.

Y/N: You flatter me, miss.

I extended my arm for her to take, and she wrapped hers through it. As we walked, I couldn't help but admire her beauty. The way her hair just flows behind her, she might have Merlin beat... wait, why am I thinking that? No... Merlin is the only woman for me...

Yang: Like what you see~?

I didn't know I was staring, and I immediately shook my head.

Y/N: Forgive me, miss Yang. I don't mean to stare...

Yang: Hey... if you want a piece...

She pins me against the wall with one arm next to my head. I could only tremble from the intimidation.

Yang: You only have to ask~.

I could only stutter, not get any words out. Eventually, she broke out laughing while holding her sides.

Yang: I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. This side of you is just too much for me. Come on, we're almost to our rooms.

I remained silent as we kept walking. My face was as red as Ruby's cape. Eventually, we got to her dorm first.

Yang: Thanks for walking me.

Y/N: It was n-nothing...

Yang: See you tomorrow, cutie~.

She kissed my cheek and disappeared behind her door. This sent me over the edge, and as I reached my door, I sat against the wall in embarrassment.

A/N: Hey guys, sorry it took so long to update. If I'm being honest, I kinda lost some inspiration to write this. It's just that I left this story for so long, I haven't even had any good ideas for it. And I apologize for that. I'm sorry that this is also a short update. I'll try to get more out for this story, but no promises.
