CHAPTER III

TAMINA's POV

"Tamina sweetie wake up!"

I pulled my sheets over my to head to block the annoying voice coming from my closed door.

"Tami I'm going in."

I groaned annoyingly and forced my eyes to stay shut close.

Why is someone waking me up at this early in a Saturday morning?

This is really getting me annoyed I'm a gentle person but please don't ruin my sleep.

I heard my door being opened and footsteps are coming towards here in my bed. I stay put under the sheets and shut my eyes trying to get back to sleep. But that didn't happen. My sheets were pulled down from my face and my eyes are greeted by the rays of the sun coming from my windows that are now open widely.

"Good morning Tami." that same voice spoke again.

I looked at her she's sitting in the bottom side of my bed. She's giving me her cheerful smile.

I sighed and shaked my head while a smile is slowly forming in my lips.

"Good morning Mama Elizabeth." I greeted her back.

I mean how can I get mad at her when she looks so adorable?

I sat up from my bed and lean back at the headrest.

"So what do I have this pleasure of you waking me up at this early morning Mama?" I said mocking her.

She laughed at me and got down from my bed. She walked towards me and place a kiss in my head.

"I'm sorry for waking you up early sweetie but I just have to do it. We have something really important to do today." she said capping my cheeks.

I looked at her puzzled.

"And what is that very important thing that we have to do today?" I asked her as I have no idea what she had in her mind.

"Because you got promoted and you have to stay in the City that never Sleeps starting tomorrow, we have to change your entire wardrobe. So we're gonna go shopping!" She squealed like a teenager. I swear I can see her eyes twinkling.

"What?! Are you serious Mama?" I asked her liked she had gone mad.

She smiled at me before answering.

"Nope. And get your cute ass up from that bed and start showering, we're gonna leave at 10. So hurry up sweetie, no time to lose!" She said sassily and walked out of my room.

I remained staring at the closed door with my mouth hang a little open.

I cannot believed that just happened.

Blinking my eyes several times I looked away from the door and search for my phone.

Seeing the time in my lockscreen I
groaned loudly.

8:34 am

I throw my body back in my bed and place a pillow in my face.

"I still need sleep!" I said frustratingly.

"Ma I think we already bought the whole shop." I said dryly and looked at all the paper bags in our hands.

We're here in the mall for 3 hours already. I lost count on how many shops we have entered since we got here. We've been to a lot of designer stores and bought a lot of things, I didn't want to get all those fancy things but Mama Elizabeth said that I have no say to this because unfortunately my taste in fashion is not that good. She really said that to me. I'll be honest that stings my ego a little bit but when I saw how the staffs stared at what I'm wearing in all the shops that we've been to they definitely agree to what Mama Elizabeth said. Although almost all of the dresses, shirts, underwears that we've already bought are not my go to fashion I kinda admit they all looked good.
