CHAPTER II

TAMINA's POV

I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I brush my long hair.

A smile is placed in my lips as I did so. This day is going to be awesome!

First, it's my father's and Mama Elizabeth's wedding anniversary and the second one, I'm going to surprise them with my promotion that I got from my job just yesterday.

I know they will be very happy for me. They have been really supportive since day one. They are the one who always pushes me to achieve my dreams in life.

Coz I won't deny the fact that I'm not the really confident kind of woman. I just want to stay put and keep silent in the other side of the room.

After I was done brushing my hair I went out of my room and walk down the stairs. Humming a song I walk staight towards the garden where the breakfast is served.

There I saw my father and Mama Elizabeth. I can see how happy they are and how they love each other. I can't believe it's been two years since they got married. But every passing day I saw how they love,care and respect each other.

Mama Elizabeth is not my real mother but she never treated me like others, instead she treats me like I'm her own child. And I love her too.

I lost my mom when I was 12 years old because of an accident and since then I saw how my father grief at our loss. That's why when I saw how happy my father is when he met Mama Elizabeth I knew right there and then that she will be the one who will bring back my father's happiness.

I know how much my Papa loves my Mama,and she will always be in our hearts, no one can replace her in our hearts but we moved on and found other people that loves us,like she do.

I know wherever my Mama is right now, I know she's happy for us ,coz all she wants was our happiness.

I smiled as I walk towards them.

"Hey lovebirds, isn't it's too early in the morning to show your sweetness? The ants might gather around you y'know." I teased them as I stand infront of them.

They stopped from what they're doing and looked at me. They laugh in response and back away a little on each other. A little, they're still too close.

Ugh. see what love can do.

"Happy 2nd Anniversary Papa and Mama Elizabeth." I smiled greeting them and kissed them on their cheeks.

"Thank you sweetie." they both said on chorus.

I took my sit on papa's left side and we started eating.

At the middle of our breakfast Mama Elizabeth said something that caught my attention.

"Oh by the way, Ruan said that he will be joining us here today and spend the day with us."

Upon hearing that name I felt the beating of my heart went faster.

What the heck?

I suddenly felt nervous for no particular reason. Maybe because I'm still not familiar with my stepbrother that's why whenever his name will be mentioned my stupid heart will beat faster than it's normal rate.

I mean you can't blame me.

Eversince the wedding day ,the day we had our first actual meeting of each other ,we never had a good relationship. Me and my stepbrother. 

I tried to be friendly with him, but it seems like he's staying away from me as much as possible.

Everytime he went to visit here in our house we never had the chance to cross paths because we have different schedules. But in every special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and christmas we were able to see each other. But he's just really civil to me.
