"Wait? What do you mean 'Fictional'?" Rose asks with a frown on her face, the annoyance in her voice as she glares at me.

I raise an eyebrow at her and tell her bluntly, "like, this in my world is just some stupid cringey chick flick book that a bunch of teenaged girls enjoy reading."

"Yeah, I suppose Edward wasn't exactly a good example of love in that story was he?" Alice asks with a pout as she shakes her head in disappointment. "I only saw glimpses of it in my visions before the switch. Some of it was hard to believe, especially that he would stalk her and spy on her while sleeping."

"They were both bad for each other." I tell her as I wave my hand. "She was obsessive, he was obsessive. You add in his hunger and the gaslighting .. Their relationship did not exactly make a good one."

Alice nods as Carlisle clears his throat. "Are you hungry Edward? I'm sorry we can't use your real name— but.."

"I know, it would be weird if your adoptive son decided to suddenly change his name. I got it old man."

Carlisle smiles a little then and Esme runs over happily and wraps her arms around me. "Hello, I'm Esme. You can call me mom, or aunt if you want to."

"Right. You're the mom of the vampire family right?"

"Yes." She replies cheerfully as she lightly grabs my hand. "Let me show you to your room!"

"He still needs to feed." I hear Jasper say simply, a note of warning in his voice as he looks at me. "But, he is eerily — calm."

I glance back at him as Esme leads me towards the stairs. "Perhaps I just don't have the energy to be all - crazy?"

Alice stands beside Jasper and rubs his arm causing the Major to look down at her an raise an eyebrow. "He'll be fine. He's not like a newborn. It's hard to explain."

After being shown my new room, the one with the bed, thank fuck because nothing beats a nice bed to lay in. Nothing. An hour after that I was being bearded out of the room into the woods.

"You do realize that if this was a horror movie you would all be taking me out here to kill me right?" I ask them curiously as I start playing around with the vampire speed. When I get myself on top of a tree on the other side of the clearing I let out a sigh. "Not gonna lie, the best part is the speed."

I hear Emmett's booming laughter from below causing a smile to appear on my face subtly. Using the speed again I quickly get to the ground and appear behind him, tackling him to the ground. He retaliates by pushing me, I fly into the tree on the other edge of the clearing with a loud laugh.

"Oh man, that's awesome." I say with laughter. Now, if only we didn't sparkle.

"Well, he seems to be taking this really well." I hear in my head. It sounds like Rose, if I had to guess of course.

"Man, he seems a lot more fun then Edward ever was- shit, I shouldn't be thinking that." That one was Emmett.

"Why hasn't he gone into a frenzy yet? He needs to make sure that he keeps himself under control, we could all pay the price if he doesn't." Jasper, that was definitely Jasper.

I hear humming inside my head as well and I hold back another laugh. Aw, Alice. I have a feeling that I'm going to like her and Emmett most.

"I wonder if he will be able to go to school tomorrow?" I hear Carlisle muse in my head. "It might not be safe."

"Hey Old man." I yell out from beside the tree me and Emmett were fighting near. "Can I drop out? I'm not a huge school fan."

"No." Alice interrupts, looking worried as she stresses out about it. "You have to go Edward. You have to."

I place my hands up in surrender and look at the family that is watching me now. "Fine, fine. I'll go. This time. You have no idea how badly I would rather just - not go."

"I do." Alice adds looking a bit nervous as she looks at the ground. "But - you can't just"

"Yeah, yeah. I get it." I tell her with a shrug of my shoulders. "Now, why can't we just have blood bags instead of trying to eat furry critters?"

They blink at me and then glance at each other. I hold back a sigh of disappointment at the revelation. "You guys never even considered that option did you?"

"It turns our eyes red." Alice says. "Contacts can't be used for very long because they will burn up."

"What if we mixed animal blood and bagged human blood?" I ask curiously, raising an eyebrow. "Would our eyes turn more of a brownish color?"

They open there mouths to answer but then close it.

Huh, I never thought about that.

Would that even work?

But, would drinking human blood, even bagged be a good idea?

Could that make us unstable? Or make us driven by bloodlust.

Those were the thoughts going through their heads. "You know what we need?" I say thoughtfully. "We need one of those syringe things so that we can siphon blood from the animals. I don't know about you but I don't dream about jumping on animals and fantasizing about how to drink their blood through all that hair."

Now, he's a practical guy but to have to bite through hair? Talk about a fuzzy mouth. They glance at each other again.

"We could try that I guess." Carlisle says apprehensively. "But that's very unusual."

"Then we could give the left over meat to someone that needs it." I add with a nod, tapping my chin. "That way we're not being so wasteful either."

"I think that sounds like a great idea." Esme says with a small polite smile.

Alice squeals excitedly and claps. "I just can't wait until you meet her."

"Who?" Is asked collectively as I hold in an eye roll.

"Oh, his mate." She says with a grin as she looks towards me. "She wasn't originally here either you know?"

If it's Bella then I am leaving. Flat out, I am hightailing my ass out of here. But Bella was originally here in the story. That leaves the question of who? Who wasn't originally here?

Before we went back I did hunt. I still stand by the statement that a mouthful of hair makes it a thousand times less appealing however. No matter how much of a rush it is otherwise.

When we got back to the house I sat down at the couch. Staying awake all the time will get boring. I'm going to need a hobby other-wise I'm going to go stir crazy.

What do you do when you can no longer sleep and you have an ungodly number of hours to do anything?

Maybe I'll just build a spaceship, could vampires survive in outer space? It would be interesting to be able to explore the other planets. I would need a lot of blood though.

We don't exactly need air or the ability to breathe anyway. But, that damn blood. Ugh, something is always thwarting the best plans.

I know, I'll cross the boarder to the Reservation sometime. They have water and those cliffs, it's at least entertaining though.

No idea when, or where I'll cross since I haven't exactly seen it but I'm fine with that. Undecided or unexpected plans are usually the most exciting ones anyway.
