I awoke with soft breathing beside and I turn over and see Dan lying beside my on his stomach with one arm tucked beneath his head, the other in and amongst the blankets.

His lips were slightly parted as his breaths escaped softly and evenly. His forehead was free of crease marks that usually rested there from his usually present scowl.

He stayed with me last night and the nightmares did not make an appearance for the rest of the night. We kept our distance but I was still aware of his presence there.

I allow my thoughts to drift back to the previous night.

I notice myself leaning forward and he does the same, his movements slow to make his intentions clear. His face nears mine and this time, I make no effort to stop him.

His hands still gently caressing my face, he leans his face forward and closes the distance as our lips make contact. His lips are chapped but soft and full against mine.

Our lips move in sync creating a rythm and he gently bites down onto my lower lip asking for entrance as he tugs slightly and I grant it to him.

As he pulls away with his lips slightly swolen, he smiles at me and pulls my face closer to his once more.

My memory is interrupted by Dan shifting his position next to me but he remains asleep.

I stand and make a move to find a bathroom when I am interrupted by Amelia.

"Morning," I tell her in a polite tone and she presents me with a small smile gracing her thin lips.

I glance down at her outfit to see a bright yellow button up shirt accompanied with purple formal pants and red loafers and I smile. I got the messagase that Rosie was probably still asleep.

"I am quite hungry," she says to me boredly and I get the hint.

"I could make breakfast?" I smile and she nods eagerly, her thin short hair bouncing slightly. Her demeanor resembled that of a childs and whilst it was cute, it was also disheartening.

I settled on some eggs with toast and bacon, Amelia insisted on cooking so I had her make the toast, a job that took her quite a while.

As I was finishing off the eggs as I feel a pair of stong arms wrap around my waist and I smile knowing who it was.

"I could get used to this," Dan says while placing a soft kiss on my neck and moves on to help Amelia set the table.

I place the food out evenly leaving a plate for Rosie for when she woke up, and we enjoy the meal. The scrambled eggs were creamy and the bacon slightly crispy. The toast slices had either to much or to little butter but enjoyable regardless.

Dan and I take our time as we had woken up early, so we had some time before school.

After some time of simply conversing at the table we get ready for school. Eager with the knowledge that at the end of this week we would have a month off before we had to go back.

As I was packing my overnight bag back in the room I had occupied, I am interrupted by a soft knock at the door as Rosie enters greeting me. She occupies herself making the bed as though looking for something to do despite my protests. A few seconds of silence pass before Rosie speaks up.

"She likes you, Amelia," she says in a polite but sad tone and I smile saying, "and I her." As I smile over at Rosie she begins by saying, " I'm sorry I didn't know she was up this morning.." I place my hands on Rosies stilling her actions and silencing her. "It's okay, really, I don't mind at all," I say whole heartedly looking into Rosies eyes.
