I was walking over to Alyssa's for help with my costume. Spirit Halloween was all out of face paint so I was hoping she had some.

I knocked on the door, waiting to be let in. After no one answered, I walked in anyway. "Lyss?" I heard her upstairs and I went up.

"Can I come in?" I heard a response and opened the door. She was sitting at her desk, curling her hair. "Hey, do you have face paint?"

She looked at me and I smiled. "Wait." She stood up and examined my costume. "Great minds think alike." I laughed and spun around.

"Alex gave me the idea. This is actually Lisa's cape." She smiled. "I like it! You're just missing the hair, the pale face, and the fangs."

I pulled the container that held my fangs out of my pocket. "I've got the fangs. I just couldn't find denture glue for them."

She walked over to her desk and grabbed a tube. "Here." I smiled and she sat me down. "I'll go grab some stuff to do your hair."

She disappeared out of the room and I looked around. She had pictures all over her walls. There was one of her as a little girl and an older man.

I was guessing it was her father since she looked a lot like him. He honestly didn't seem like a bad man in any possible way.

Alyssa returned with her hands full of hair products. "Okay! Turn around and I'll get started." I did what she said to and she started spraying my hair with water.

I shivered, not expecting the cold liquid. She started brushing my hair and brushing it back. She grabbed a bottle from her desk and put some product in her hands.

"What's that?" She rubbed it into my hair, rubbing it all back. "Hair gel. It'll keep it shiny and holds it in place," she finished and went to wash the gel off her hands.

She returned and picked up a palette. "Now, let's do your face." She showed me her face paint palette and started putting white all over my face.

After basically turning me into a painting and me putting in my fangs, I was finished. "How do I look?" She pointed to the mirror.

I smiled, showing off my fangs. "I look fucking awesome!" She put her hands on my shoulders and looked in the mirror.

"It's not your own custom costume but it looks great!" She stuck some combat boots on and stood up. Although she was a great deal shorter than me, her boots added a little bit of height.

"Shall we go?" She grabbed her phone and some buckets for us and we headed out. Everyone was already standing outside of Rian's house.

Jack was a zombie, Rian was a lumberjack, and Alex and Lisa were Blue and Steve from Blue's Clues. "I love your costumes!"

Rian gave me a smirk and I glared at him. "I love that the non-couple matches more than the actual couple." I rolled my eyes.

"This wasn't planned." Lisa looked at Alyssa. "Give me a turn," Alyssa smiled and did a turn and a pose. "Oh, I love it!"

I chuckled softly. Jack looked at me. "Got any brains for me to knaw on?" He put his arm on my shoulder. "Only if you've got blood for me to drink."

We started out and Alyssa linked arms with me. "Us vampires have to stick together." I laughed and shot her a wink.
