Carian is in trouble. Carian slept in the guest room. Astrid is very upset that Carian has been lying to the love of his life! Part of Astrid wants to be petty and do something that'll piss him off. The other more mature part of Astrid wants to calmly talk things out...

"Dacey!" I beamed when he answered the door.

"Astrid? What are you doing here?"

"What? Not happy to see me?"

He smirks, "I'm always happy to see you." He gives me a quick a hug, "Just surprised, that's all. Does Carian know you're here?"

I immediately scowled, "Carian can fall out of a tree and break his neck for all I care."

"Oh... so that's why you're here. He did something to piss you off and being here will piss him off."

I smile, "Can I come in?"

He steps aside and lets me through.

"Thank you."

I sat as he fixed me a cup of coffee.

He remembered.

I told him everything that happened yesterday. From almost being poisoned to finding out Carian has been supporting Jamie behind my back.

"Wow, I can see why you're so pissed."

I shake my head, "I've never felt so betrayed."

"Really? What about what Angel did to Piper?"

"The difference between love and lust cannot compare. I don't love Angel... but the fall out with Piper as a result definitely hurt."

Dacey nods, "Is it true she married your brother?"

I scoffed, "Don't even get me started on that. He's a naïve dumbass."

A moment of silence lingered before I built up the courage to ask. "Have you heard from Taryn lately?"

He sighs, "Here and there. He barely picks up the phone nowadays. I mean, I get it. He wants his son back. I want to find him too, but to just leave everything behind..."

"If you were to knew where he was, could you reach him?"

"Of course. Taryn cares the world for that boy. For Jamie to run off with him to stick to everyone is bullshit. She doesn't even have custody."

"WHAT?! She lost all custody?"

He nods, "Judge gave Taryn full custody. Right after, she ran off with the baby."

I wonder does Carian know this? Probably not, why would she tell him?

"I'm sorry, but Carian's an ass for helping her. I know he hates us, especially Taryn, but it's not right. I hope you give him hell for however long you think he deserves it."

I grin really wide.

"What?"

"I know where she is."

Dacey's face lit up, "What! How?!? Carian told you?"

"Hell no. I went through his emails last night and found out where he's been sending the money. Then I looked to see if his family owned any property there. She's in Montana."

"I gotta call Taryn."

"Call him on the way to the airport. I already have the jet ready.

We arrived in Montana pretty quickly. At the address even quicker.
