"What are you two doing here?"
"Your mom let us in," Jisoo raised an eyebrow, "but the real question is, why aren't you inviting us in yet?" And, before Lisa could even try to close the door, Jisoo took a hold of Chaeyoung's wrist and dragged themselves inside, shoving Lisa to the side. Lisa watched in annoyance and groaned, slamming the door shut and turning around with her arms crossed in front of her chest.
She watched helplessly as Jisoo was already making herself comfy on the bed while Chaeyoung was giving Jennie a brief hug. Jennie met her eyes and Lisa could only shrug as Jennie was sending her a curious look.
"What are you girls doing here?" Jennie asked, pulling away and seating herself back down on the chair. Chae furrowed her eyebrows while scanning the confusion swimming on both Lisa and Jennie's expression before glaring down and the older one as realization sunk in.
"I thought you said they invited us over?"
Jisoo smiled sheepishly, "I lied."
The three sighed simultaneously.
Typical Jisoo.
Chaeyoung looked back over to Lisa with a look of regret, "I'm so sorry Lis. We could leave if you want." Lisa contemplated but smiled while shaking her head. As much as she would love to have more alone time with Jennie, she couldn't say no to an angelic face.
"It's fine Chae, go, sit. Make yourself at home." Lisa met Jennie's eyes again and sent an apologetic smile which earned her a tiny grin from the latter.
Lisa could see slight disappointment but it was only there for a second. So, she made her way to where Jennie sat and plopped herself on the floor, leaning her head on the side of Jennie's thighs. She could hear Jennie giggling in amusement before feeling gentle fingers combing through her blonde locks. She would've sighed in content and snuggled closer if it wasn't for the teasing look Jisoo was sending her way.
Let's just say, Jisoo was the only one to know Lisa's secret.
It's called alcohol.
It was only them two hanging out one night when Lisa drunkenly admitted her undying love for Jennie with tears running down her cheeks and snot dripping down. If Jisoo had drank another bottle, she would've forgotten the confession. She unfortunately didn't even finish her first bottle when Lisa confessed.
"Cute pajamas Manoban," chuckled Jisoo. Lisa scowled and blushed in embarrassment while lifting her head off of Jennie, and away from her touch.
"I can always kick you out, you know?" She threatened. Jisoo batted her eyes innocently,
"Well then, that would make you a bad hostess."
Lisa whined, "Chae, control your girlfriend!" Chaeyoung playfully rolled her eyes before seating herself down on the edge of Lisa's bed.
"What have you girls been doing before we rudely invited ourselves over," she sent a tiny glare towards Jisoo who slouched her shoulders with a tiny pout. Lisa shrugged,
"Nothing too interesting."
"Right," Jennie voiced out, a tone that sent shivers down Lisa's spine. The blonde slowly looked up and felt herself swallow a growing lump from the glint in the feline eyes and blushed from her sexy smirk.
"Nothing interesting at all." Her voice held amusement, maybe even excitement? She didn't know. Lisa never knew what would go on inside Jennie's pretty head.
Every touch, every smile and every glance, Lisa could never comprehend. She use to think she could read Jennie like an open book just by the simplest things. Like, being the reason for her gummy smile, her twinkling eyes and the blush on her fluffy cheeks. She truly did believe Jennie had feelings for her.
But like every other time, she was proven wrong and left to be confused about everything she thought was true. How? Well, the list of boyfriends.
That was why she never read too much into Jennie's actions. The girl was just a natural flirt. Nothing more and nothing less. Which is why Lisa never tried to indulge in Jennie's strange gazes. She refused to continuously get her hopes up.
Jisoo yawned, "Sounds boring." Jennie blinked and looked away from Lisa to send a glare. She rolled her eyes and stood up with a tiny huff,
"Come on Rosie, lets go get snacks." Muttered the annoyed brunette. Chaeyoung simply stood up and nodded, following the grumpy girl out the door. And when the door closed, Lisa felt like she could breathe again. The tension was suffocating.
"I don't get it." Lisa looked over at Jisoo. Jisoo was staring at her with her head tilted to the side. Lisa quirked up an eyebrow,
"You don't get what?"
"I don't get why you haven't told her yet."
Lisa looked away from the curiosity that was in Jisoos almond eyes, down the hands that fiddled with the hem of her cat shirt,
"What's the point of admitting to something that would have no good outcome?"
Jisoo had nothing else to say.
