It was finally the day of orientation and Jisung got up from bed. He didnt know why he had agreed to taking extra lessons in the summer to prepare himself for another year of high school, he already hated school any other time.
.. But he was going to meet the others at the gates (except for Chan) in an hour so he took his time doing his morning routine before choosing his clothes and fixing his hair. He even put on a little makeup before grabbing his phone and heading out.
The group met at the gates on time and went into the school auditorium. They sat in the seats, kinda far from the stage but close enough to see the headmaster. He gave a small speech about what the school is like before he told everyone to head to the gym. They headed there and sat on the floor as a male came to the middle with a mic; he made sure the mic was working before clearing his throat and speaking.
"Okay, so! Hi guys, my name is Seonghwa! Welcome to the orientation!" He smiled and continued, "I'm sure you all just came from the speech about how the school is and blah blah bl- so I wont repeat it BUT! Please keep in mind there are in fact rules. In the, uh, dorms, each floor will have their own residence fellow or two - they're all upperclassmen - and they'll be making sure you stay out of trouble.."
He pointed a group of guys and girls that were sat in the seats behind himself, doing their own thing, "These are the orientation group leaders. They will take you around the school and show you around, answer any questions or concerns you may have and you may even make a friend!"
The people held up signs with numbers before Seonghwa continued.
"Please find the correct number and sit in a circle with them; each group should have 6 members. We will start shortly." He went out of the middle and Jisungs friend group looked at each other.
"I dont think any of us are in the same group," Hyunjin stated, and they all shrugged, going to their assigned group. Jisung sat on the floor with his group. Number 19. The boy on the chair sighed and Jisung internally questioned why he was wearing a mask and a hat inside. He pointed at everyone and counted under his breath before sighing again.
"San, get out. We both know you're not actually in this group." A male huffed and got up, stomping to his actual group as the boy beside him whined. "Okay so the 6 of you are here... Why dont we introduce ourselves?"
"But hyung, you already know me!" A boy called out.
"Just for that, you go first. We'll go in a clockwise circle-" he made a hand motion, "- which means you get to go last, after me." He pointed at Jisung who only nodded.
"Ugh.. hi, I'm Wooyoung." Jisung raised an eyebrow. The leader leaned his head back, making his hat fall off which he quickly caught and put back on.
"Hi, I'm-" the second guy got cut off by yelling.
"Lino hyung!!" The leader guy leaned forward and quickly grabbed a ball that was hurtling at his face. "Damnit, I thought I'd get you there." The male threw the ball at a short male who was walking to the group; the boy almost fell over as the ball had hit him where the sun doesn't shine. All the boys in the group cringed as if they felt the pain but the guy seemed perfectly fine as he smiled. "Always come prepared." He winked.
"You called my name, you idiot." The boy rolled his eyes before another object came flying at the others head, this time from the side. He didnt even glance over and caught it just in time before sighing. "For the last time, I am not a cat." He handed the ball to the short red head, "tell Changbin I'm gonna hit him." The younger nodded and left before the other turned back to the group.
"Okay, sorry, my friends are ridiculous. Please continue," he gestured vaguely and the person nodded.
They introduced themselves and when it came time for the leader guy to introduce himself, he leaned forward again.
"So... just call me Lee Know, okay?" The group nodded, except for Jisung whose eyes widened as he stared at the floor. The elder cleared his throat, catching Jisungs attention. "J- you. your turn." Jisung heard the elder almost slip up but decided to ignore it and nod.
"Hi, I'm Jisung." He smiled and watched as Lee Know hummed with a nod before getting up.
"Alright, follow me please." They all got up and followed the taller boy, who picked up his chair with one hand before folding it and throwing it where it goes, causing a loud crash.
"YAH! DONT THROW THE CHAIRS! WE TALKED ABOUT THIS MI-!" Seonghwa was cut off by Lee Know himself.
"EXCUSE ME IM TRYING TO BE A TOUR GUIDE SO IF YOU COULD KINDLY SHUT THE FUCK UP, THAT'D BE GREAT, THANKS HYUNG!" Everyone that heard, especially his own group, laughed at the interaction; he motioned for the group to follow him as he took them around the school. "Okay so this- get out of my face." His sentence was cut off when Wooyoung put his head on his shoulder while he was walking.
"But you kicked Sannie out. I need attention somehow! I wanted Sannie's attention but here we are! You're the only one I know in this group."
"Leave me alone, I'm trying to do something." The boy didnt listen and kept pestering the elder but was startled when the boy turned around and harshly grabbed his arm, making him let out a pained groan.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Please dont hurt me- i-i forgot!" Wooyoung pouted as Lino rolled his eyes again. "I know.. the only person you want touching you is that Jisu-" Lee Knows eyes widened as he covered the boys mouth and tightened his grip on the latter's arm before removing his hand from his mouth. "Oh shit, is this the one?!" He turned to look at Jisung before back to Lee Know and let out a yelp. "Okay, okay! I'll stop!" The elder forcefully bent his knee from behind and made the boy get on the ground as he twisted his arm slightly before letting go.
"Do not touch me without permission." The elder helped him up and Wooyoung violently rubbed his arm to try and sooth the pain; he went to stand next to Jisung as they continued their tour. Jisung realized the black haired Male had a red handprint on his arm where Lino had held and was suddenly afraid of what else he could do.
"Lino hyung likes you." Wooyoung suddenly muttered and Jisung looked over at him with eyebrows raised. "Dont worry. He's actually really nice, just a little scary when hes mad. Oh, and he looks like a God. You cant tell because hes wearing a mask but he does. He doesn't wear it often." Jisung hummed as the other continued to rub his arm and soon the tour came to an end. They all went back to the gym and stood in a circle with their groups.
"So. How would you rate the tour?" Lee Know asked and everyone yelled compliments, saying that it was fun. Jisung was a little disappointed that the boys voice was always muffled by the mask and eyes were mostly hidden by the baseball cap, meaning if he somehow met the latter in the hall, he wouldn't be able to figure it out.
"Okay, are there any questions?"
A group member raised their hand. A first year.
"Why do we have dorms? It's high school.."
Lino blinked for a moment before he shrugged, "nobody really knows honestly, so we just say it's to prepare for university. Of course, living in the dorms is not mandatory but it is an option." The first year nodded at this, thanking him, "are there any others?"
Everyone shook their head.
"Okay, you are all free to go."
Before he left, the clearly younger boy went up to Lino personally, the other boy confused. Jisung too complimented the tour like the rest of his group had, bowing before everyone had to go to Seonghwa to get their dorm key and room number.
They had a week to move in.
