'Yonhseenaree..'

'Yashynori..'

'Yawnsheenari..'

'Nariyoshi..'

This was driving him insane. What was this barista on?! No matter how clearly he pronounced his own name, how much he emphasized the syllables, not even if he spelled it out for her, she just can't seem to write his name right. It was embarrassing to hear 'Yonh Cena' get called out and having to do the walk of shame to get his drink. The strange didn't make anything better. It was twice as embarrassing to be with his friends and be called 'Yes-he-noree'. Three times as embarrassing if he's on a date with someone he liked quite a lot. Needless to say, he wasn't getting a second date. Yoshinori couldn't wrap his head around it. She had to be doing this on purpose. Yeah, sure, his name was a little hard to pronounce, but after a while you'd think she'd get the hang of it. At this point, she's just mocking him.

And it's not like he can just go to another cafe. There wasn't another one for a good 4 miles, and Yoshi wasn't going to walk that far just to get away from an annoying worker. No one really complained about it anyway. He had to give it to them, everything in that cafe is really good. The way they made their drinks? Perfection. His coffee tastes like a dream, and it really gets him going through the day.

Anyway, back to... that devilish... cutie...? What even was her name? After a bit of asking around and staying a bit longer than he should've, (Yoshi was late to his first class because of this), he'd come to hear that the barista's name was Y/N. He whipped up a quick but evil plan to get back at her. It was simple, but nonetheless going to annoy her. Hopefully.

[a/n] i've never been to a cafe where they call out names so bare with me please

"Tony Mori, caramel latte!" The familiar voice rang through his ears. Yoshinori smiled; his plan would soon be put into action. Instead of his usual deadpan face, he walked up with a dazzling grin. Y/N tilted her head at the new reaction, but smiled back anyway. It was clear she was a little upset to see him so unbothered by her efforts, though. Perfect. Just as she was turning around to tend to other customers, she heard an unknown voice call out...

"Thanks for the drink, [Wrong Name]."

She froze. W/N? How did he even know her real name? Oh, she had a nametag. Right. But she never caught him staring. He sits way too far away from her to actually see it. Had he read her tag while he was standing in line? Or perhaps ordering? Wouldn't she have noticed him? It must've slipped her mind. In her trance of confusion, she didn't take note of how Yoshi smirked at her reaction. It was silent, like everyone was awaiting for her response. And in all honesty, yeah. They were. Regulars were aware of the petty tension they have. Slowly, she turned back around, a smirk of her own appearing on her face.
