The one who stays awake for nights
So that her child can sleep tight.
She who silently cries in pain,
But hides it with a smiling face. She who scolds us unexpectedly,
But loves us unconditionally.
She whose side we take in fear,
So that she can make it disappear.Who is she? Whose name we call out when in pain,
So she can take it all away.
Who is she? For whom we don't show our love,
But deep down we know she means the whole world to us.We never care for her when she is there,
But miss her a lot when she disappears.
She gives us everything she has,
But we never make an effort to give it back. She supports us through thick and thin,
But we pay back with an unforgettable sin.
We will never see her cry,
Cause she hides it with a brittle smile. The one who feels alone sometimes,
But always says she is fine.
Whose love no one can explain,
Cause it’s made with devotion and pain. The one whose place no one can take,
For she’s an angel in this place.
Her arms are the safest place to dream,
When our nights are ruined with nightmares and screams. We never want to let her go,
For she parts with an unpayable loan.
But when she goes we cry her name and say,
“Mom please come back for I miss you everyday.”Remembering her is easy, for we do it quite often,
While she lays with peace in her coffin.
But deep down we know that there’s an ache within our heart,
That will never go away.
