TAGAKTAK ANG PAWIS habang ako ay kumakaripas ng takbo sa kahabaan ng kalsada. Under the gleaming heat of the sun, three of my father's men were chasing me as reprimanded, so I was trying my best for them to fail.

I made a quite huge commotion. Marami akong taong nasasagi sa pagtakbo kaya naman ay nabulabog ang mga payapang nagbabasa ng dyaryo, bumibili ng street foods, at kalmadong naglalakad sa gilid ng daan.

Halos lahat sila ay nakatingin na sa akin.

"Eya! You have to go back to the examination area!" sigaw ng isa sa mga tauhan ni papa.

Pero hindi ako tumigil sa pagtakbo, bagkus ay binilisan ko pa lalo ang hagibis. As I was flashing my feet, there were tempura vendors selling on the sidewalk, so I incessantly vaulted from one cart to another as they were blocking my way.

"You can't chase me, three blind mice!" pasigaw at nalilibang na sagot ko. "Hahahahahaha!"

The men were three houses away from me. Naaawa ako sa kanila—of course—dahil hindi nila ako mahuli-huli.

And why would I let them capture me, anyway?

The more they scare my escaping capability, the more I prove them they should not.

Nag-aral pa ako ng parkour for 10 years kung hindi ko rin naman pala gagamitin sa kanila.

"Cease running and surrender!" one of them ordered.

"Ayoko nga! Trabaho niyo ang habulin ako!" I giggled.

Tumalon ako nang mataas sa segundo na aking narinig ang malakas na pagputok ng baril na iyon mula sa gawing likod. When I was in midair, a large net darted from underneath and made its way towards the car—five meters away from my front. Buo na nasubo ng lambat ang kotse sa unahan bago ito tumaob patalikod.

"Net Gun?" bulong ko sa sarili saka tumalon sa tumaob na kotse. "Do they think they could capture me by this shit?" I flipped in midair when I reached the end of the car, landed down to the ground, and continued dashing again.

Hays.

I'm not challenged at all.

"Magagalit ang papa mo kapag hindi ka sasama sa amin!"

"Kayo dapat ang kabahan!" I screamed back. "Mas magagalit si papa sa inyo 'pag hindi niyo ko mahuli! Haha!"

I ran against the face of the vertical wall, and jumped onto a random roof. As I was rushing, I shifted my head to the left to glance at the three men. I smirked at them before leaping on the top of a high level wall.

Hindi ko talaga alam kung magkano ang ibinabayad sa kanila ni papa kaya ganyan sila ka-dedicated sa kanya. Tatlo lang iyan sa mga alila niya. And I have never liked what they have been doing!

I took a hurried look to my right side and realized that there was a completely huge village subsisting with enormous houses that were fenced with gates.

"But, you have to be examined!" someone insisted.

"No!" Kumunot ang noo ko sa kanila. "I would never be in an examination that I have never wanted to be part of!"

"Ang tigas talaga ng ulo mo babae ka!"

"Deal with it, losers!"

Nasa ibaba ko lang sila na sumusunod sa akin. Halata sa kanilang pagmumukha ang pagod. They kept on screaming my name, but I never made my stop.

Napawi lang ang ngisi sa mga labi ko nang malamang dead end na pala sapagkat isang napakataas na gusali na ang nasa dulo ng wall.

Kaya huminto ako sa itaas saka humarap sa kanila. The three men also stopped on the pavement and moved their head heavenward to look at me.

Itinutok agad nila sa akin ang hawak-hawak na net gun.
