Mia

He stood there with his hand over my mouth for much longer than necessary. I grabbed his hand and released it from my mouth. I didn't even know what to say, we both stood there taking each other in. Six years. Six years and this is how I was reunited with him?

"Mia?" He asked taking a step back looking confused. He was wearing a black suit with his top button undone, he looked good in a tux, his dark brooding eyes and his dark hair fitted with his look. He looked like a totally different person. "What are you doing here?" He asked stunned.

I was just staring and it took me a while to gather the strength to actually say something to him.

"This never happened alright, we didn't see each other," I snapped as I tried to walk past him. I couldn't do this right now..

"Hey six years and you're going to act like you haven't seen me?" He said grabbing my arm and turning me to look at him.

"Whose fault is it that it's been six years... anyways that's beside the point, you don't know me and I don't know you lets's keep it that way alright," I said grabbing my arm out of his grip.

"Why are you here? This doesn't make any sense?" He asked looking me up and down. I hated how he could make me feel from one look. How he could still make me feel.

"Khalid you don't know me, none of this and I mean none of this is meant to make any sense to you," I argued holding my ground.

"What exactly are you doing here? So what you work for one of these dodgy companies then?" I could hear the judgement but frankly he was in the same position as me, what the hell was he doing here?

"Don't patronise me, what I suppose that everything you're doing here is above board," I said jabbing my finger at his chest. He gripped my hand once again and held my hand. I missed his touch but no way was I allowing him to suck me back in. No way.

"I didn't think I'd ever see you again," He said still holding my hands and continuing to stare at me and sadly I was stuck in his trance. "I just don't even know what to say," he said still shocked.

"Easy.. don't say anything," I snatched my hand out of his grasp as reality came flooding back in and just when I was about to walk out, Jared Kingsley walks into the room and both Khalid and I instantly take a step back from each other.

Fuck.

"I see you two have met then," He said to the both us sensing some tension. "You don't know each other do you?" He asked.

"Of course not, I got lost looking for the restroom, and this nice young gentleman was about to point me in the right direction," I said thinking on the spot. Khalid looked at me realising I was clearly hiding something. The room door was locked so it was no accident that I was in his room.

"Well fate obviously wanted you to meet, Mia this is my grandson Khalid Kingsley, Khalid this is Mia a PR worker and niece of the boss of Graze,"

Who the hell was Khalid Kingsley? He had always been Khalid Everton to me. What was going on?

"Nice to meet you Miss," Khalid said grabbing my hand and kissing it.

"Call me Mia, it's a pleasure to meet you too" I said forcing myself to smile whilst wanting to snatch my hand out of his grip so bad. The bastard.

"The pleasure is all mine,"

A woman who was wearing formal attire, came out of nowhere and whispered something into Mr Kingsley's ear, his face turned from grinning to a frown.

"I'll leave you two to get to know each other a bit more, I have some urgent business to attend to," Mr Kingsley told us both. Last thing I wanted was to be left alone with Khalid. "Oh and Mia, the restroom is downstairs," Mr Kingsley said turning around to look at me one last time. He definitely knew something was up.
