Hazel's POV
As soon as I got onto the ship, I went straight to my room and laid down on my bed. I laid there with my face in my pillow and basically cried myself to sleep. While I was asleep I dreamed I was in a meadow, looking up at the sky. The sun was setting, and the sky was partly covered in clouds. I was alone, as peaceful as this felt, there was still a feeling of gloominess. Suddenly a voice boomed across the fields. A sleepy voice, yet it was fierce.
“You're never gonna save them, you know,” her voice was more confident than I thought it would be.
I looked at the sky and rolled my eyes. “What do you want, Gaea?” I snorted.
“To cherish your failure, of course,” she said.
I stood up and looked at the ground and picked up a random stick and stabbed it into the dirt.
“For once, do you ever shut up?” I asked, getting a little angrier now.
Laughter spread through the air and it was suddenly colder. “I will leave you for now, demigod. But, just know I have plans for you real soon, daughter of Pluto.” The dream went black and I started to wake up. I sat up and started to stretch.
“Hey there, sleeping beauty!” A voice randomly said, needless to say it startled me pretty badly.
I looked over to see Leo sitting in a chair in the corner of my room, smiling big with that goofy grin he always has. “Hey, Leo.” I smiled.
“How are you feeling?” He asked.
“Actually, a lot better than I was.” I said as I started to stand up.
“That's good,” he grinned and jumped up. “I guess I'll leave you alone and head to the control room, I'm pretty sure Frank wants to see you,” he frowned but, then he smiled again and left the room. I was about to leave my room when Frank appeared in my doorway.
“Hey, Hazel,” he smiled big and gave me a hug.
“Hello,” I giggled. It went silent for a few minutes.
“We should really contact everyone about Percy and Annabeth,” I suggested. Frank nodded in agreement.
“Who should we contact first?” He asked.
“Well, first we should get the others. We should have Jason tell Reyna, me and Leo will tell Chiron. I believe Chiron will let Percy's mom and Annabeth's dad know.”
“I guess,” he replied. I left my room and wandered down the hall and headed towards the control room. Leo was steering the Argo II. We had to deliver the Athena Parthenos to camp half-blood; Chiron should know what to do with it. Leo was drinking coffee and staring straight out the windshield.
“Hey, Leo,” I said.
Leo jumped and turned around and grinned. “Hey, Hazel. I thought you and Frank were going to hang out,” he replied. “I mentioned that we should contact everyone about... you know. So, I figured I would contact camp with you. If I did with Frank... well, we're both Roman. Since, you're Greek, it would be better,” I said smiling.
“Oh, about Annabeth and Percy?” He asked.
I nodded solemnly and sat down in the nearest chair. Leo sat in the chair next to me. He was fiddling with something in his hands.
“What's that?” I asked.
“The scrolls, I'm still trying to figure out how these are supposed to help me upgrade the ship,” he replied.
“Are you sure they are even supposed to help with that?” I asked.
“I'm pretty sure, or else I risked opening that fortune cookie for nothing...” his voice trailed off.
