Sophie's POV:

Monday, I just survived another six hours of school today. Pretty proud of myself for not punching someone in the face, I'm just kidding, I am not psychotic or anything. I am just fed up with school, but I'm so glad that I only have another three months until my education life is over. I don't get bullied or anything, I just can't wait to be treated like a proper adult.

I begin my 2 kilometre journey to my local (small) auditorium/arena. I have been spending a lot of time here recently, that's because I don't own a piano or keyboard, therefore I must come here often to practise.

My family are friends with the owner of this arena so I am able to visit whenever I like. Which is basically everyday after school.

I open the front door to the arena and begin to walk up the stairs and onto the stage. The room is very dark, and completely empty.

I walk across the stage and place my bag down, then I take a seat on the comfortable chair beside the piano. My fingertips brush over the old, beautiful piano keys as I begin to play the cords to my favourite song by Coldplay. Then I sing:

"When you try your best, but you don't succeed.

When you get what you want, but not what you need.

When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep.

Stuck in reverse."

Just as I am about to sing the second verse, I hear someone clapping.

I stand up to see who this person could be. But there is no point, it is pitch black, and I can't see a thing. "Hello? I am sorry I didn't realise you were there". I say, trying to sound as calm as possible.

I hear this person slightly laugh. I can only see a large shadow walk towards the stage.

"I never knew that you, uh, or someone were performing tonight. I should probably leave now". I pick up my bag and begin to walk back across the stage.

"It's fine", the man chuckled. Oddly enough, he sounded familiar.
