Hetal's POV

I cheered myself on at the door of the Khan Events Company. Though I was now Mrs. Oberoi, I was determined to work as hard as I could. No matter what changes happened in my life, I swore I would not give up my job. This was my only source of financial security and stability.

"Miss Mehra, aacha huva tum aa gai! (you finally came back) Boss Ahmed Khan greeted me, the moment I stepped in.

Three years ago, I was just an unknown assistant, but now I was the best event planner in the company.

I was not the most educated as I just completed my graduation in Arts, as my parents did not want to spend their money on my education.

I was neither the most obedient planner, but I was the most capable event planner, as I use to do last- minute changes but trust me my clients use to go crazy with it, by having lots of appreciation from their guests.

I was shocked to see this man in front of me. His face was covered with the stubble from days. I had been gone only for five days but looking at him it seemed, I had been gone forever. He looked painfully exhausted. Seeing him this way I understood that he had taken a huge project

Ahmed Khan's POV

I held her and begged sincerely, "Miss Mehra please meri madat karo, tumare siva hab koi nahi kar sakta." (please help me, as no one except you can do this)

Although the entire company had worked as one and revised the plan five times, but the client just couldn't be satisfied with the plan. Everyone in the company felt frustrated and I felt the most frustrated.

My company was established a long time ago. But this was the first time I experienced failure.

"Sir, hamare client kon hai?" (Who is this client?) Hetal frowned.

"Kon ho sakta hai jiske wajah se mai pareshan hu?" (Who else could it be) It's the Oberoi Company..."

I continued saying. "Agle maahine ki 8 takir ko Oberoi Group of Company ki Golden Jubilee hai" (Its a celebration of Golden Jubilee on 8th of the next month) and we are planning a wine party for this company."

"Oberoi Company?" Woh to Rudra Oberoi ki company hai? Hetal asked to me.

"Ha woh hi" (yes), I said in frustration.

"Did they ask for a wine party?" Hetal was amused.

Most enterprises chose to celebrate their anniversaries in this manner. For one, it conformed to the usual convention. And two, a good dinner was a treat to the staff who had worked really hard for the company.

" Nahi, Nahi, aisa kuch nahi bola" (Oh, no. They didn't.) I carefully recalled. They had just asked for a plan for the celebration, but they weren't limiting it to a wine party.

Thik hai Sir aap muje sari details de dijiye mai try karti hu." (All right, give me the documents of the company. I'll give it a try.), Miss Mehra said and I felt a bit of relaxed.

I thanked her nth times. If his most talented planner couldn't find a solution, then I was screwed.

Hetals POV :

I just felt strange simply imagining Rudra in a suit proposing a toast to one group of staff after another.

That's why I asked this question. "Did they ask for a wine party?"

But as soon as I got the answer "No", I knew that my job begins and I have to come up with a new idea to get this event planned by my company, as I had put my little bit contribution in making it a successful one.

So on the first day itself, I was all occupied with this banquet. I was so busy that I even forgot to have my lunch.

Suddenly my phone rang, and after seeing the caller Id, I was in no mood to pick it up. But then I decided to pick it up to see now what the new drama was coming up.

"Hetal, have you had your lunch?" Mom pretended to play the role of a concerned mother.

If she hadn't urged me to marry Rudra yesterday, I would have been touched by her concern. But now...

Mom had lost all her love and respect, from me.

"Say it. What do you want? I'm busy with this plan right now."

"What?" Mom shouted, "You go to work the next day after your wedding?"

"Shouldn't I?" I sneered. "Do you think Rudra will give his money to me?

"It's obvious for him to do that since you are his wife now..." Mom murmured.

But I had no time to hear her nonsense. So I interrupted. "Kya cahiye aap ko mere se, bataiye warna mai phone rakh rahi hu?" ("What on earth do you want from me? I'm hanging up the phone.")

"Ruko , ruko, ruko... hab ki tum uski patni ho to, mere damad se pucho ki woh apna wada kab nibha raha hai" ("Wait, wait, wait..." Mom stopped me. "Hetal, now that you are married to him, ask my son-in-law about his promise. When will he fulfill his promise?")

I decided to cut short my talk, with mom as I knew how greedy she was. So I said, "Trust me, I will keep my promise."
