Chap 21 - At Mehra House

Vasundra Mehra X Rajiv Mehra's POV

They left Oberoi's House. On the way back home, the more Vasundra thought about this visit, the angrier she felt. She turned to Rajiv and asked, "Rajiv, rumor has it that Rudra is a playboy. But I don't feel that way."

"So you finally know it!" Rajiv sneered, "I told you, keep an eye on Mittali before the wedding. I won't harm my own daughter! You knew she wanted to flee from the wedding, and you let her go. Mittali always has been a spoiled and pampered child, all thanks to you."

"What?!" Vasundra exclaimed. She blamed Rajiv and said, "You already know that Rudra is not a playboy. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I did remind you about that." Rajiv frowned and said,"I told you, keep a close watch on Mittali. You should have listened to me."

"It's all your fault!" Vasundra burst out at Rajiv,"If you told me earlier that Rudra is not a playboy, I wouldn't have let Mittali go with that poor man. Hetal is so lucky to marry Rudra."

Rudra was handsome and was nice to Hetal. Just thinking about it gave Vasundra a headache.

Third Person's POV

Next day in the morning.

Vasundra opened the door of her bedroom with sleepy eyes at 10.00 am. Though Rudra and Hetal would come home for lunch, she didn't have to prepare for anything. The servants had gotten up early to handle it all. All she needed to do was to pretend that she had done all that.
Hetal called her up yesterday night after they left Oberoi mansion, and said that she would come only for an hour or two along with Rudra to have lunch and leave as dadaji and Monica will be alone at home.

Rudra and Hetal arrived early. They carried with them the health and anti-aging products that Dadaji had brought back from America.

Vasundra, standing at the door, watched them get off the BMW. She also saw Rudra take over Hetal's stuff and hold her hand. Then they walked towards the door.

Hetal accidentally sprained her ankle. Rudra worriedly asked her if she was okay. She shook her head with a smile.

Her smile made Vasundra envy and jealous.

Vasundra had heard of his bad reputation of being a playboy and a bad-tempered guy. But when she finally saw him yesterday and today, she realized that judging people on hearsay was the biggest mistake she ever made.

He worn a light blue checked shirt, with his sleeves casually rolled up till his wrist. With dashing eyebrows and piercing eyes, he appeared to be quite soft against the shadows on his face caused by the sunshine.

"I'm okay." Hetal switched back into the present when she noticed the trace of envy in Vasundra's eyes. She took Rudra's arm and said with a smile. "Let's go in."

Rudra nodded slightly  even turned his head to Hetal to remind her to watch the step while walking

When Mittali was a child, Vasundra always told her that Hetal was even inferior to the servant in this house.

Vasundra let Hetal marry Rudra was only because she thought that Rudra was a bad guy with numerous affairs.

Now that she saw him in person, she wanted him back for her daughter Mittali whom she loves the most.

For her, Mittali was the apple of her eye. Mittali deserved the best in the world. 

Vasundra was biological mother of both Mittali and Hetal, but she always loved Mittali.

Vasundra hated Hetal, because of her father Dinesh Mehra, He was a billionaire heir but did not get a single penny from his parents as a punishment to get married Vasundra and she started hating him and their daughter from that day onward. 

When Rudra and Hetal went in, Vasundra called Hetal. " Mittali, please help me in the kitchen and ask Rudra to sit in the living room, and take some rest."

Vasundra put on a kind look for disguise, held Mittali's hand, and took her to the kitchen after a few minutes they arrived at the dinning table placing all the things. the company matters and crises were discussed while having lunch as Rajiv Mehra was also at home. 

As soon as the lunch got over they left from there, as Hetal was no way in the mood to stay there with her parents who had only hatred for her.
